One wasn't enough and still isnt. Just came back home from starting work on my right leg. 3 hours on a sunday morning is just the thing to wake a person up and ready them for the week ahead.
Yep. I have asked my friend and tattoo artist to do whatever he wants on it. All he's got to do is to make it fit with the dragon that goes from my upper thigh to my foot. He's started at the foot, putting a lady to the right of my shin, going down further onto the foot than the dragons tail does already. He hs plans of having three of them in all, around my leg from the knee down. What he has in mind for the rest of the knee and thigh, only time will tell.
You got any idea of what you'd like to get done next and will you be using the ame artist that did the two angels?
Sorry for the late reply Rhiannon. I work away from home in the week and have not long arrived back.
Whatever you decide to have done Rhiannon, I am sure of two things. Its going to look beautiful and it'l hurt like hell, lol. But, like me, you know that the end result will be more than worth it!
Sundays, until around 6pm, is the only real time that I have to get any tattoo work done and although I would love top be getting some more work done on my leg today, I have two obstacles preventing it from happening. 1, the artist reckons on two weks healing time before continuing with a design and 2, he is booked solid. From 9am this morning, he will be working through to around 10pm tonight. So I will have to wait until next week to carry on with his ideas.
Other than fitting in and complimenting the work you already have, have you thought of a general theme for how you want yours to look. If you're open to ideas, then I was thinking that maybe you could have something like cherubs (to represent your future grandchildren) with harps and bows (as in bow and arrow) to the sides and just below the angels. Then below that, you could have something like the animals that you and their father represent (what ever they may be), centrally below this. To symbolise the family unit and the inevitable role reversal from the parents looking after the children, to the children watching over their parents. It might sound a little early for all this but by the time it all becomes reallity, you might not be wanting to be tattooed.
All that said, it'l still look great even if you dont add anything to it and keep it as it is.
I'm pleased that you liked my idea. Not that it should in any way close your mind to any of your own or anyone elses for that matter, but if they in anyway inspire an idea of your own then I'l be more than happy enough :-)
As for your eldest saying that grandchildren are not yet on the cards, as you and I both know, accident can and DO happen. Usually when they're at the worst time too, lol.
Week started well enough, I managed to get the money my boss has owed me for the last 2 weeks. I put it in my wallet, left for home and lost the lot! I was not the best of company that night. Luckily, I was able to make up the loss by the end of the week. Now its just down to waiting for new credit cards, driving license etc all to come thru in the post. Let's hope that your week was a hell of a lot better!
