What is an appropriate monetary amount to give for a wedding gift?
With weddings costing so much, should I try to estimate the cost per person when considering the amount to give the bride and groom?
I'd love to hear what others are giving. Thanks!

Honestly, I don't know what proper etiquette dictates, but I give what I can afford, and expect no more from others when I receive money as a gift. $100 is generally a safe amount, but if that's more than you can afford, I would not feel embarassed to give less.

Hi,
I don't give cash. I try to buy some meaningful gift, the value of which is based on how close the bride or groom is to me. I went last time to attend a wedding party and bought some crystal gifts from a site called http://www.cristalier.com/crystal-wedding-trees-wedding...ystal-tree-s/152.htm cristalier.com hope it was awesome , bride & groom impressed with my gifts. Thanks!
