I dont know if this is really a myth, but I thought I would be a cool experament. the Idea is weather or not if you made a hollow cylinder and made another solid cylinder that fits perfectly inside the other. then fill the the hollow cylinder halffull with water. then slide the other in side ontop of the water and then apply a massive amount of force compressing the water. the question is would the water freeze. now the reason I think it might is the molecules liquid H2O are moving. and the molecules in solid H2O are still. by applying massive force the molecules should be forced to stop moving causing it to freeze. waalaa.
