There isn't much I can do myself, although I have rescued animals myself and I feel I have done something. Years ago in mid 1970's I visiting my gandmother in her mobile home at an aunt's home. I had just gotten up and was having breakfast. I looked out a window facing the road and saw a lump laying there. I was sure what it was, but went out to see what it was, and it was a dead possum. I noticed it had a pouch and I thought I heard some noices and saw some movement. I went and told my uncle and we got a large card board box and went to the dead mother and reached into the pouch. We pulled 11 snarling healthy baby possums and two dead ones. We moved the mother's body and the two babies off to the other side of the and left them in the ditch. We went back to the house, but my aunt and uncle didn't have anything, and so they called the next door neighbor and they had all kinds of
bottles with eye droppers. We all took out the baby possums, holging them upside down being careful of those little claws and those nasty little teeth (boy they were sharp little things). We took the eye droppers and filled them with milk. And gave them to these wild little hissing things, but they did seem to calm down some, when we gave them some milk. In the meantime the neighbor lay had called the appropriate state agency to find out what to do with them next and somebody was to come out and pick them up and take to where they could get the help these babies needed. But I had to head back home before anybody could get there, so to this day I really don't know what to them.

That was great that you helped save the baby possums back then. Hey as long as you have done something to help. That's what counts Smile
