Hi all,

I write about endangered species every day for Plenty Magazine. I hope you'll check out Extinction Blog, read up on the latest news, and take action.

Thanks,

John

I read that link of your magazine, and everything you mentioned was the opposite of what I heard from AP. I believed that with individual conservationist, organizations, companies, governments and people who live in or near Bears and Tigers that they are slowly being at a healthy rate of population, and are slowly having a safer life in the wild. This is sad news to learn that in present day people still do not realize the importance of these animals, especially the people who live near the habitat of these animals. Didn't they train zoo born Tigers to live in the wild's of Africa to create a Tiger population in Africa because they protect their wildlife animals? It is also saddening to learn that there are 10 times more tigers in captivity in the United States then there in are in the wild. I truely hope that Tigers will be protected by law in the next year or two. That is tragic to hear that the government of Florida will not protect those black bears. I always had the highest respect for a government of a state that has such beauty in loving animals, but have realized how selfish they are to get money for Bear hunting permits. The U.S. fish and wildlife is not the most trusted organization in protecting animals, just check-out one of my topics on meerkat manor. They are selling wildlife habitat in alaska to oil companies basically refuging thousands of animals, including Grizzly Bears, Wolves and foxes. I do believe that the Polar Bear environment will be better, and believe that about their population and safety in the wild. I also believe this to be true with all endangered animals as long as AP and other organizations, zoos, conservations, companies, governments and sanctuaries teach people/kids about these great animals.

John: how can we take action on that blog? Is there a petition we can sign, or something?

This is what I want to do after college is to teach people about these types of animals, especially Bears and Feline animals. I have learned so much about these animals and know that these Chinese medicanes do not work, and also know that conservationist's and the government are cracking down on those people who kill, distribute and sell these parts of Tigers, but it still seems like it's not enough. Again: I hope all this stops, and we can let these animals live in a peaceful, safe and comfortable wildlife manner.
