I just moved back in with my parents in the small town of Zimmerman Minnesota. I recently discovered that our neighbor has been trapping squirrels and killing them, just because they "scare the birds away". To me, this is animal cruelty and he should be stopped immediately. However, local law enforcement and DNR seem to care less about these poor creatures. It is very rare that we see squirrels anymore, and it breaks my heart when I do see one in his yard. He is truly a criminal in my mind. I have seen him drown baby squirrels this spring, and I really wish we had some assistance in stopping this man. Does anyone know of any organizations in Minnesota that might be able to help?
