ok, so i realize that my problem is nothing to really complain about, but it complicates shopping quite a bit.
I'm 5'8'' with a 34'' hip. 24'' waist, and a 34'' bust. I've got all of the "good" features, but because i do, i have a terribly hard time finding clothes that fit. if im looking for pants its nearly impossible to find any that fit my long legs, don't squish my butt, and then if they fill those requirements the belt loop part pooches out because my waist is long and goes in a lot.
If its a top im trying to find, i can't find a shirt to fit my boobs and still come close to fitting my waist. I really love the baby doll cut tops, but my waist is too long and it looks silly.
A dress that fits is nearly impossible to find...

If anyone knows styles that may be able to accommodate me please help!

I've given up on ever finding anything off the rack that will come close to fitting correctly.
The best defense is a good offense:
1. Learn to make basic alterations yourself: hemming trousers, moving belt loops on dresses. 2. Find a good tailor for more complex alterations : taking in the waist on trousers, darts in blouses. The small cost will offset the frustration a hundredfold.

Macy's was to introduce a new sizing guide this summer at select stores. I've yet to see it at my location but maybe in yours.

Sadly, after searching the entirety of the Greater Richmond area, the best fitting pair of trousers I have found were by Basic Editions at KMart for $16.99. Not the most fashionable on the planet but excellent for work. Waist and inseam are long enough to cover my rear end, the waist is fitted and I did not have to let out the hems.

Hope this helps a bit!

I have the same problem trying to find pants that are long enough in the inseam. It's unfortunate that designers don't give us more hem allowance. However, I have had some success with J. C. Penney's online catalog. Many of the same pants they sell in their stores can be gotten in tall sizes online. You can go to the physical store and try on pants to get the best fit in waist and hips. Then go to the website and order that style in the tall size. The only problem is the lowest size they have in talls usually seems to be size 8. This is a bit too big for me and would be even worse for you. But at least it might get you close enough for alterations by a tailor.

Other brands I have had some success with are Jag Jeans (Nordstrom), Alfani (Macy's), Ralph Lauren, and Nine West. These will sometimes run long enough or have a decent hem allowance.

Good luck.
