I have just heard that there will be a DC Season 5. I just love this show and own all of the DVD sets to date. I hope that Rick and the Maverick come back for season 5. What boats do you all think should be featured for season 5?

i met josh & jake harris this past weekend in san francisco! they were both very friendly & happy to meet a fan of the show! Jake said they have signed on for 2 more seasons! yeeaaa!

*Two* more seasons?? Yay!! As for boats, the Time Bandit and the Cornelia Marie for sure, and probably the Wizard as well.

That's great to hear. I love Deadliest Catch was the first and for a ong time the only show I watched on Discovery. It led me on to many other shows I now love. DC is so well done you can even watch it with the sound turned off. Now that is the test of how really engaging it is!

I would love to see the Maverick back too and I'd also like to see more of the North American. I also wish they would feature some new boats to keep it interesting.

IMHO the Time Bandit, Cornelia Marie, Wizard and Northwestern have become the "stars" of the show, with the show centering around them. To me, that gives the show more of a soap opera feel to it now. As much as I like the four "star" boats, I really would like to see maybe a little less time focused on those four and some new boats added to the mix. We may find out about some really cool boats that we didn't know existed. After all, if I remember correctly, the Time Bandit was not featured in Season One, so when they came on the show in a subsequent season they were considered "new" and look how much we like them now.

You are correct. If fact the Cornelia Marie was not in season one however we did get to hear Phil while they were searching for the Big Valley. I believe Phil and Larry were partner boats.

Phil is my favorite and I have to admit I have a TV crush on him. I do hope they introduce other boats in the next seasons to give there crews a chance to shine like the others.

While, I would like to see less of the NW, you got the fanbase where a good majority of them like the NW and if you did that, they would cry bloody murder, look at the outcry that happen when they NW only got five minutes in one episode. No, I think the NW is going to stay with the show until the end of the run.

i dont like how the early dawn and north american got soo little airtime in season 4 and were not even included in the opening credits

the more boats, the more interesting the show gets, look at season 1, king crab, opilio then season 2, there wer pretty much completely different sets of boats for each of them,

if there arn't any new boats in season 5 ill be dissapointed, surely some of the more famous boats would like to take a season off so they dont have to put up with the cameras for once

I would like to see more of the Farwest Leader because I enjoy seeing things from a woman's perspective and his wife works with them sometimes.
