I'm watching the season one reruns again, and I just noticed something I haven't seen before on any subsequent season. The Northwestern covered the pots with big blue taprs as a storm approached to help keep the ice off the pots. Why don't they do that anymore, or does DC just not show it?

usually you only tarp the pots if you have a really long run. if you're only running twenty miles or so, it's not worth it.
