I looked forward to the new shows on Friday nights. I would watch curled up on the couch with a glass of wine to watch, laugh and learn. I wish they would make more shows.

I have to admit, I went through a bit of WNTW withdrawal tonight, too, as there were no episodes on, even repeats! Hopefully this was just an aberration, and they'll show some repeats at 9 on friday nights while we wait for the new season.
The good news is they're already working on the new episodes...stacy and clinton have tweeted that they're in boston and have already done a couple of ambushes!!!!
The bad news is they aren't coming back on until january supposedly...that's a long time to wait...but it'll make them even more special when they return!
And as much as we'd like them to just appear by magic, it's obvious putting each show together is a lot of hard work!

It's very scary not to see any WNTW on a Friday night. Not even a rerun. This makes me worry that they are phasing the show out little by little. I sure hope not!

Stacy has tweeted that they've already had a couple of great contributors from boston and kansas city, which is fantastic news, if not unexpected.
But I gotta tell ya, it's only mid-to-late september and we STILL have three whole months to wait until january. this is going to be very difficult!!!

I feel exactly the same-my Friday nights were What Not To Wear nights. Reinstate the show and give me my wine and a couch please!

OK, it's been a month now with no WNTW on Friday nights, even a repeat. (This is even though my local paper keeps saying there's going to be one on at 7, but when I turn it on it's Say Yes.)
What's going on here? Are they keeping it off to create interest for January?
I can't watch on the other nights! Is Friday night one of the better TV nights, so they want the shows with fresh eps on for ratings????
I WANT AT LEAST AN HOUR OF MY S AND C FRIDAY NIGHTS!!!! EVEN REPEATS!!!!

I miss WNTW! That's what I looked forward to on a Friday night after a long week of work! Sitting on the couch, watching Stacy and Clinton...now there's NOTHING at all to watch! I won't watch TLC until they come back on! SAY NO TO THE DRESS!

I agree and I think that, at least, TLC owes the loyal Stacy and Clinton fans an explaination. I have stopped watching TLC also.

Me too. Everything that's on is either reruns or cakes and wedding dresses. Friday night is now the pits.

O...M...G! Stacy recently tweeted on Twitter that they're pulling WNTW until the new ones come on in January! Does she just mean on Friday nights, or are they being taken off all day every day?
If this is true, I don't know if I can make it until January! Although obviously it's a good strategy by TLC to create interest in the new eps.
Does anybody have any info????

I can't imagine all these wedding shows could possibly have more viewer than WNTW. Personally I find wedding shows very dull. I think wedding shows would appeal mainly to brides planning their wedding while WNTW and other fashion shows would have a much broader audience.
It's a long wait, but I look forward to the new episodes. January is a great time to have something to look forward to. It's post-holiday and during the coldest part of the year, so it will be great to have S&C with new episodes on the tube.

Wait Kudzumomma....you mean you don't want to watch MY MONKEY BABY? Lol! Seriously, it's just INSULTING when the president of TLC says something like this and then has the network air a show like MMB. "Our authentic characters draw people in and their relatability keeps them watching," said TLC president Eileen O'Neill. OK...how many of you out there can relate to this monkey crap? Or have even had the desire to watch it? I mean, provided you're not being paid to in order to script fodder for shows like The Soup and 30 Rock. This CLEARLY is no longer the channel for "us" and Eileen will tell you so herself. It's now the network for the mindless brainless teenager who has grown tired of Jerry Springer and Spike TV. "In television, we're always looking for the next generation. In addition to expanding our family and relationship properties, the [new] line-up reenergizes popular genres that capture life's biggest moments." Hey EILEEN, exactly which one of lifes BIGGEST moments are you catching with the monkey baby show? And how many times do you expect a semi coherent person to watch another woman put on a wedding dress???? I'm just sayin'...

Yes, well its Friday night and I am watching another channel. I do think that I will be over the show by the time they put it back on, if ever.
I just wonder what really happened between TLC and S&C. With the fight with J&K, I just find it very interesting.
Hopefully another channel, that is more sensitive it their viewers will offer S&C a better deal.

Don't get me wrong, I miss WNTW too, but I think TLC has been saturated with it for quite some time now and is trying to mix things up a bit. They have shown the repeats a jillion times already.
I personally think the reason they're not producing new eps right now is because Clinton must be busy filming his new show that TLC is supposed to start airing in the new year. Clinton can't be in 5 places at once, after all!
That said, I'm not sure letting so much time go by without even airing repeats on Fridays is the best strategy. They do it with other series, though.

I hadn't thought about the Clinton-doing-his-own-show thing, but from his Twitter tweets recently he's been doing WNTW, not his own show.
I don't see why we can't have the 6 p.m. EST slot for old re-runs, and at least one semi-prime time hour Friday night for reruns of the most recent season.
For instance, I was hoping to at least see the repeats of last season, including Jessie and Roller Derby Girl and some of the other wild eps, on Friday nights...but, nothing! My schedule doesn't allow me to watch anything before prime time, so I was counting on Friday!
I do think there's a delicate balance, as you don't want to oversaturate, but still...
BTW, it's small, small consolation but my Sunday paper came in a plastic package that had some Pantene samples in it, and a fantastic pic of Stacy was on the side of the package. Then I was thumbing through my coupons, and there was a smiling Stacy in a Woolite ad! I'm taking this as a sign that Stacy and Clinton will not forsake me, and at least seeing S is helping me make it to January!!!!

I do too! And there hasn't been a marathon in weeks. I don't see why we have to be completely cut off from WNTW. If they want to show an episode or two of Say Yes to the Dress or Masters of Reception (I really like that one, BTW), that's fine, but don't not show WNTW at all! We have to have something to get us through until the new season!

Many of the shows here on TLC are based on BBC versions--as is WNTW. If you'll notice in the ending credits you'll often see the credit: BBC production manager. The reason this is important is that a regular season on BBC is 6-9 episodes.
I think TLC is thinking doing it this way gives them the option of doing different themed shows. However if the all important advertising dollars don't come in for the other shows, it's very possible that you'll see WNTW back more often.
And as been noted, Clinton has his own show as well, and needed time from doing WNTW to tape his show. (Taping a show is a 10-12 hour day.)
