Seems to me that even the worst wardrobe probably has something in it that will work. It's the right color, or it fits, or would work under something else. But I don't recall Stacy and Clinton ever saying that when going through the makeover target's wardrobe. Some things seem to be left on hangers, yet we never hear why. It would be interesting and instructive to find out what's left outside the trash can and why. I imagine they do have such discussions but they are edited out for some reason. I'm sure if they went through my closet theywould find at least some things they would like on me.

I have seen them do it once or twice. But the format of the show doesn't encourage that, so you don't see it often.

A couple of the past MOs who have posted here have said they have given compliments here and there.

I know that one of the women in the recent Class Reunion show had alot of good things in her closet that Staci and Clinton called "hidden gems" . They asked her why she didnt wear them, and she said that she would always get as far as buying them, but that's it. They fit her too.

I noticed that they left these things on her shelves and trashed all the bad stuff.

Like I've said before, I wish they'd incorporate some of these existing clothes into the new wardrobe. "Mary has these great classic grey flannel trousers that she never wears. She needs to shop for shoes & tops to wear with them."

There were a few things not trashed- positive comments regarding anything in my existing wardrobe got edited tho, and even things found acceptable were tossed for the cameras. It's all in good fun :-)

That makes no sense to me. I feel like their producers must be young kids who are more interested in created silly drama than actually building a practical wardrobe. I want to actually SEE them incorporating old and new on screen.

I wonder if some of that editing is because of time restraints. Although, it would be nice to see what the MOs have done right, (and I am sure the MOs would love for that to be shown too), the show really has to show what is wrong and how to correct it by shopping for the right things. So, even though I am sure they go for the best drama, maybe they are also going for what they really have to show, and have to edit the rest because of time.
