Since WNTW is on hiatus and some of us are having withdrawals, I thought it might be fun to discuss your 5 favorite makeovers and why.

Some names may escape me, but I'm sure you'll remember them.

1. Laurie the landscape office manager from Mass. I love it when a contributor completely embraces the process and she was amazing when done.

2. The film archivist from Miami (the name escapes me). She started out defiant and snarky, but omg was she crazy sexy when she finished.

3. Lauri the human resources manager from Vegas. She had to be yanked out of her comfort zone kicking and screaming, but rediscovered herself in the process.

4. Kristy the legal assistant from LA. All bottled up in turtlenecks and black with a 7-8 pcs. wardrobe.

5. Kristine the firefighter from Seattle found her inner woman once out of the bad teenage skater clothes.

So who are yours?

The film archivist...I believe her name is Erin. I loved that episode, I've never seen such a transformation before!

I also liked Jackie from FL, Marci (and Peanut), and the girl with the Mickey shirt that she didn't want to give up. Those are just off the top of my head. There were plenty of other episodes I enjoyed too!

1. Erin---what a transformation!

2. Sunni, with the fairy wings.

3. Bonnie-- the mom with the flamingo pants, I think

4. The guy that creatively named his colors (toasted mango) and put together some eye-popping outfits.

5. Christine with the low necklines--she was a conflict resolution coach for students, I think?

My top 5 favorite makeovers were:

1. Erin, the film archivist in Fla. who looked like a mess before her makeover and a real hottie afterward. Who would have believed such a gorgeous woman was hiding in all those silly costumes?
2. Desiree, the hairdresser and part time mechanic who dressed like a skateboard punk and found a modern day vamp style suited her looks and personality perfectly
3. Debbie, the school teacher who made all her own clothes and was hiding a fantastic figure under baggy, poorly fitting outfits
4. Camilla, the hiring manager for the Internet company in Utah who was just gorgeous; probably the most beautiful woman ever on the show
5. Michelle, the AKC rep and dog handler in the Big Apple who was dressing like a dowdy old auntie until she had her makeover--another hottie

Keep in mind that I've never seen the first three or so seasons before becoming a fanatic. And there are still SO many to choose from:

1) Cristina from NYC...One of the first WNTWs I ever saw. When she said "You've taken Cristina and killed her" I thought "OMG, what are Stacy and Clinton gonna do here?" They, of course, oversaw a masterful transformation of Miss Personality.

2) Erin from Miami...Ooo, the sass on that one, but she had a good heart. The looks on S and C's faces when she kept "Oh snap"-ing them!...But Nick's cut took her unruly hair and made her a model-type, and I never saw the "model" part coming! Wow!

3) Sunny from Cali...Sweet but wacky kid, and I thought it was gonna be an easy makeover...just get rid of the fairy wings! But when she got so emotional about getting rid of her old clothes it really got to me, too. The makeover was still a bit rocky, evidenced by Stacy's famous and hilarious comment when Sunny was complaining about being tall and thin. But she was stunning in the end.

4) Rosemary the military wife. Thin and quiet, you could see her confidence grow minute by minute. Cracked up when she practically stole a "reward" cookie from Clinton's hand. The by-now world famous Stacy held the baby in this one, and posed for pics with young fans. But I really loved the dramatic music during the intense part when hubby got off the boat and they embraced.

5)Amber from Las Vegas...Incredible backstory when she lost her husband to an accident, and I was blown away by how the mother just knew S and C could help Amber start dressing better again and come out of her shell. Of course, it happened, and I got choked up at the look on the mother's face at the reveal.

Honorable mention: Leigh, who didn't want to give up the Mickey shirt because it brought back family memories. Couldn't put her in the top five only because I was crushing on her and didn't think it would be fair.

Anyway, just putting those as the top five made me realize there are so many others. In fact there's a ton of great stuff in EACH lady's episode. I actually voted by emotion and drama more than humor, which is what I actually watch the show for.

And it makes me wonder...WHAT AM I GONNA DO ON FRIDAY NIGHTS UNTIL JANUARY????
