I've read here that Stacey and Clinton really don't have any experience dressing larger women so it probably will not happen. Their experience is on fashion magazines, so if they did any style work at all it would have been with very thin models.
I don't think so at all. Stacy and Clinton has dressed a number of plus sized women. They also constantly talk about not finding clothes that are a certain "number" but something that actually fits the body...whether that's a 4,14 or 24. Ellyn and Tish are the first ones that come to mind, as far as dressing larger sized women. I think they did a great job with them too!
I wear a size 18, and many times I get hung up on a number...but when I see that the clothes that actually fit my BODY whatever size...they do look better. Also, Stacy and Clinton are constantly picking clothes that flatter any shape. Like in last week's episode, Delia, who was not heavy at all, Clinton picked the Argyle sweater and they said that the way the shirt was made can camaflouge things that one may not be happy with.
So, I DO see a variety of body types from the very thin, to the plus sized to everyone in between.
I agree that Spacy and Clifton probably do not have the expertise to dress anyone with major figure flaws. What Spacy did to that girl that plays Marcy on One Life to Live when she dressed her for the Emmy show was pathetic.
That looked pretty good, I thought it would have been a thicker strap though. But other than that it was the right length and everything, cute. Great color! And they do a lot of variety sizes!
I thought the wide expanse at the chest area emphasized the wrong thing. A v-neck would have been more slimming. Also, the ankle straps make her legs look stumpy.
I love Kathy Brier. I think Stacy could have done better by her.
