I know it makes for interesting TV, but this guest was a waste of WNTW's time and effort. She thought she knew more than the experts trying to help her. Not very helpful to those of us that actually watch the show for expert info. She was dishonest from the start, and I wouldn't want her for my accountant, as she doesn't listen to anyone but herself. Let's have more great guests that are grateful for the opportunity to change their lives. TeresaD
thanks for the heads up so i can quickly erase it from my tivo! i won't watch ungrateful people, and dishonest too? count me out! i'm surprised they let her get away with it, i remember when they made that girl's boyfriend in utah fed ex the mo's pinned pants because she deliberately left them behind. looks like karma is gonna get her, when all her clients watch her show. with her job? oooh that was STUPID,STUPID,STUPID!
She was the most ungrateful person I have ever laid eyes on!! I was so disgusted at her crappy attitude, and wanted to change the channel so bad. However, I appreciate the advice Stacy and Clinton give to the guest, and have benefited personally from watching others on the show. I would give anything to have experts, and fashion geniuses at my disposal, giving me $5000, and trying to teach me what to wear. She should have been sent packing when she didn’t bring the entirely too tight and unflattering wardrobe. She spent more time talking and giving HER opinion than listening and learning. And her reaction to her hair and makeup was even more disgusting than her attitude toward Stacy and Clinton. Not a good look Boston.
I really hated Rebecca from Boston. Very ungrateful and she made everyone's stomach turn. She had a comment to make on every thing, whether it was her ugly hat, her ill-fitting clothes, or her mousy hair. I think they should have dumped her from the first hour.
I actually wondered why Rebecca agreed to be on the show, since she was so disagreable. She even had problems with the makeup because "it wasn't what she was used to." Well, of course it wasn't. That was why she was on the show! What an attitude!!
This lady was a handful! But isn't that what makes the show interesting? The show can't succumb to a formula or folks will lose interest eventually. What keeps us all watching WNTW is the diversity of race, size and attitude.
She really ticked off Nick, too and Carmindy looked like she wanted to strangle her. I like it when the guests talk back and are difficult because that makes it seem more real.
I watch this show because I like the fact that the guests don't always comply or become meek little lambs. I like the feisty ones! And Rebecca was feisty, you have to give her that.
interesting~i myself prefer to keep my blood pressure down and keep toxins from being released all over my body because that's what watching rude and ungrateful people does to me. i did erase it from my tivo, i don't give people like that my time~ ;p i wouldn't call it fun. more like...repulsive. ugly is as ugly does. it's like dressing up a pig in a pink dress. you know it's headed right to the pig pen. waste of money time and energy. next! ')
Why do people who are not into the format of the show accept the invitation?...This woman is 42 years old...She has certainly earned the right to say this is not for me...I would have respected that more than the dishonest presentation that she made...Feisty?...no, I believe the word is rude...I had to smile at the end when one of her tribe who met to view her new look, commented that she is looking for a man...All I can say is run guys, not walk...run....
I'm guessing Ms. sm is a friend of Rebecca's ?? I was mortified while watching this woman, I have never seen an adult so ungrateful & difficult in my life. She should be ashamed & embarrassed. She could have been made more attractive but her personality gets in the way. At the end I was surprised to see that she had any friends at all!
Yea, Ili, I did watch this repeat last week & remembered why I didn't like it the first time around. First, I thought she was from Chicago, but Carmendy says "Boston" then S&C say she's going back to "Chicago" so who knows??? She does have a NE accent, though.
I was so upset by her refusal to not let Nick cut her hair, yet inspite of that he did a terrific job with what he had to work! BRAVO - Nick!! It appears her attitude is more of an INsecurity blanket or shield of protection from the rest of the world because she was sort of speechless at the reveal once she saw how beautiful she is with the refined makeup and new outfits. Automatically, Rebecca looked 15lbs lighter and 10 years younger just as S&C promised before they left Chicago to film - she realized they were right & she was wrong. Humble pie is hard to swallow especially in front of 6 million people!
Yes, I was screaming at her the entire time, but I do not understand why participants are not thoroughly excited and prancing along 5th Ave (or wherever) energized by this opportunity to build a wardrobe from scratch - on someone else's dime! The end-all is getting a seat in Nick's chair - it is ONLY HAIR - he is an artist and objective! A once in a lifetime opportunity to get a $500 + cut, color & style wasted on "just a trim." That is what really ticks me off.
I thought she was from Chicago, as I thought the ambush was in the Sears tower---could be wrong, because I cannot stand to watch the episode again.
S&C were right about her clothes and she was wrong. Rebecca's personality was a driver/choleric and they can NEVER be "wrong". (Trust me,I used to work with one exactly like her--their identity is their absolute certainty that they are RIGHT.)
I am not sure why she agreed to the process, since she was told she'd need to abide by the rules (not HER rules). When she showed up with only a fraction of her wardrobe, IMHO the BOA card $$ should have been reduced accordingly.
I save myself the toxic input and don't watch this in repeats---my blood pressure can't take it.
