Is this cable station serious?

I've never in my life seen such a thing.

DEAR DISCOVERY, LLC:

12 HOURS OF SCHEDULING IN ONE SINGLE DAY DEVOTED TO ONE SINGLE PROGRAM. AND A VERY "NICHE" ONE AT THAT.

11 HOURS ARE STRAIGHT IN A ROW.

EVEN THE 24 HOUR CABLE NEWS NETWORKS HAVE DIFFERENT NEWS "SHOWS" THROUGH OUT THE DAY TLC....

SO WE GET IT.
WE READ YOU LOUD AND CLEAR.
WE'LL LEAVE YOU ALONE ALREADY, AND STOP WATCHING YOUR STATION.

WE'RE SORRY WE MADE YOU RESORT TO SUCH INSANITY.
PLEASE INFORM YOUR STOCKHOLDERS.
THANK YOU.

Take me now, Lord.............sigh.....

I am watching the only WNTW on--the "Where are They Now?" episode, then switching off the TV.

There is a cute special on a different network (FL) called "Lloyd Boston's Style At Any Age". He does makeovers on three women of various ages and they each get three new looks plus hair and makeup. It will be shown at 7pm on October 18 and at 2pm on November 1. This is not a series and is not quite WNTW but it is better than another show on weddings. I hope it helps. Smile

I like "Say Yes to the Dress". And in the past TLC has devoted several marathons to "What not to Wear" and other shows so I don't see it as so unusual or unfair.

Thanks for the tip about Lloyd's show. I had also forgotten date line was on Friday night. I watched a very good show this week, so I'm not turning off my TV, just TLC!!

Even if you like the "Dress" (and have no compassion for parents in this economy), you have to admit that 11 hours of the same thing is a bit much.

At least it wasn't Jon & Kate + 8.

TG for a remote control!

Where are the new episodes of WNTW on Fridays? "Say Yes to the Dress" - this is ridiculous show. Certainly not something that warrants a marathon. I flip past TLC when I see that on the listing. Seriously, some of us don't want to watch mom and daughter fight over what dress to buy - for 12 hours!! Is this all you got to entertain us with?

It's called a marathon, people! They do it on all different networks with all different types of shows. I happen to enjoy watching "Say Yes to the Dress". If you don't want to watch the program, simply change the station and move on. It's not something that anyone needs to get worked up over.

AMEN!
There was a time not long ago when it seemed like TLC had become "The Jon & Kate Network." Eek
I don't like marathons, unless they're of "What Not To Wear." Wink
