Registered: 12-13-07 | The trial was supposed to begin last week, on the 5th, but I can't seem to find any news outlets reporting on the story. Anyone have some concrete information beyond the unsourced conjecture I've found on other message boards? |

No one seems to know. If you watch TLC you will see that they that TLC is using the impending trial as a cliff hanger. We thought we were joking when we said TLC would use it as a cliffhanger. |

If they do intend to make it the focus of the next season, it'd be in their best interest for people to know as little about it as possible. After all, information about much more minor celebrities is much more readily availible. It seems odd that there is virtually no news on there about Matt's trial. |

I don't understand how TLC could win a gag order in a DUI case; however, MR isn't talking about it because his attorney has told him not to, and news agencies aren't writing about a trial that hasn't taken place yet. He appeared in Court when the last continuance was granted, so I tend to think that one was petitioned by the Defense. The one postponing the trial from Dec. 5 to Jan.? must have been signed outside the Courtroom in a some private move, so that could have been the State. |

the season just ended and matt hasn't gone to court yet. the outcome of the trial won't be on until the next season in the spring. |

Registered: 07-24-07 | The trial is the second week in January is we heard right. We havent heard that Matt has gotten a gag order. If he gets a gag order then we doubt that the court will let cameras in the court room. If no cameras in the court room then that defeats TLCs cliffhanger concept. |

I am sure that the outcome will be public knowledge far before the new season starts, since it will be on the local news here in Oregon. I don't see a gag order for DUII trial. It isn't like he killed someone (thank goodness), and he sure isn't a hollywood type, and I think that any judge worth his salt would not slap a gag order on a DUII trial since it is already a matter of public record. Not like it isn't already a known offense. |
