I used to watch J&K+8, but when I heard that they both got their teeth whitened and he had hair transplants, I shut it off! I don't even have kids at home anymore and I can't even afford to buy a home much less get my teeth whitened! And I know how much an Analyst makes...I work with them all the time! There's no way they can afford their lifestyle and I think the perks they get are constantly getting rubbed in the viewer's faces. It makes me sick!

I vote for LPBW and I really wish it would be on at least as often as J&K+8. In fact, in the past week LPBW has not been on at all, while the other show has been on continuously for 6 days. I'm sick of it!

i agree wit u because they could not afford everything ,and the tummy tuck .she got it free ,they did not have to show it on tv,there are a lot of ladys that have kids still have thier stomach big,and im sure they would love to get a free tummy tuck and the implants too i know a lot of men who r bald,and want hair but cant afford it,teeth whiteing made me made when kate wanted it too,they r living in luxury with tlc s expince,and the show is not interesting any more they say that they wanted there lives tape ,so the kids could have memories ..will so do we.they could of got a video camera ..they just saw they money vacations and self help for themselfs was free ...

All of the perks comes with the package. I just saw the re-run of the tummy tuck episode. It's my opinion that the doctor's wife really wanted to do something for Kate and so she got her husband to do what he does best, maintenance surgery (sure good advertisement for the doc too.) As for the teeth whitening and the hair plants, I believe they would have found the means to have these maintenance jobs whether they were on TLC or not. They just seem to be that kind of a couple.

Remember, their luxury has cost them...they set themselves up for the public opinion to disect them. I know it just seems so unfair for all of us who will never enjoy these luxuries but I certainly don't want to live my life on T.V. JMO.

All the free stuff in the world isn't worth the price they pay for their total loss of privacy.

I can't stand J & K for a minute with all that crying and screaming. There isn't enough money in the world to make up for living with 8 babies. I don't envy them at all for anything. And I think we will have biographies from some of the kids when they grow up, writing about how lousy it was to get lost in the group and never get enough attention.

That made me laugh. I use to watch it every week, (before I couldn't take kate all the time) and when my mom came for a visit, she had never seen it, and she said the same thing about the crying and screaming and she made me turn the channel. lol

She obviously wanted some additional plastic surgery. Maybe she will eventually find a plastic surgeon who will willing to do that surgery for free also.

dthomas, your headache comes from watching too much Jon and Kate. You need to watch some LPBW. Once you see Zach spit his food to the dog and Amy chew with her mouth open your headache will go away and you will then have a stomach ache which will be easily remedied with a dose of Matt's tuna mix. See, now don't you feel better already??

Why do so many people get irritated with Kate?

I like Kate on the show. I think her strong personality is funny. She's definitely a dominant type-person. It makes me laugh how she is always correcting Jon on his pronunciation of words. I can't believe she does that over and over.... She doesn't censor herself, for sure... lol.

As far as them doing the teeth whitening and hair transplant - I think they are smart to take advantage of the perks being thrown at them. And, let's face it, as much as I don't like to say it - looks do matter.

But, it is true -- it's the inside that counts the most.

Freddy, I think it's great that you like Kate. She personally drives me nuts. I like the kids, they are funny.
I guess Kate appeals to some people but some find her rather obnoxious or nit picky. That's the great thing about these message boards, we can share how we feel about these shows. And as far as the perks go, I'd take every one they offered.

I have never seen Supernanny. I don't even know what channel it's on. I think that's the show everyone keeps saying needs to visit the Roloffs.

I agree with Freddy. I tend to see Kate as quite funny. Yeah, sometimes she can be a tad irritating, but since I can be a lot like her, I guess I am too. Jon, I find to be more irritating than she is sometimes - his passive/aggressiveness is a turn-off for me. There is no doubt they will need counseling before too long. Lord knows, they cannot afford a divorce!

As for their taking advantage of the freebies - hey, if they were offered to me, I'd do the same thing. Yes, they have sacrificed their privacy in a big way, so I guess they may look at this as some sort of compensation. People wanted to o give them these services - who are they to refuse? They know this won't last forever!

Same thing with the Roloffs. I don't doubt that they too have gotten some stuff either free or at a very steep discount.

I've always liked Kate. I also think she's very funny, especially when they are doing their couple chats on the magic couch.

There are some things I don't like about Kate though. I find that she gets overly obsessed with everything. The children must ALL wear matching clothes. Everything must be in absolute perfect order. The children must never eat anything that isn't organic. Blah blah blah. It's just too much. I also don't like how she belittles Jon. I don't watch the show regularly, but I've seen enough to tell me that Kate needs to relax.

Does anyone know where Kate and Amy falls in their sibling birth order? And how many siblings are in each of their families?

If I remember correctly, Amy has two sisters and one brother and she is the fourth sibling. I can't remember Kate's famiy. One brother.?

Kate has at least one sister but that is all I remember.
