Glad everyone is here tonight as we have what I am hearing & reading another difficult meerkat moment. By the time Season 3 is over, we will have had a very emotional time. I am waiting for the light moments to show up. There must be happy times coming. I hope!

Hi, I'm also new to the Meerkat chat, and actually it's my first post. I didn't see all of the episodes in the last 2 seasons, but I haven't missed any of the new ones, and don't intend on it either!! I'm already worried about tonight. Last week made me very tense. I don't know if I can handle another sad episode like that. I feel so terrible for poor Mozart. I hope Flower is careful tonight too, being very receptive once again. Not too sure of this Houdini Kat, and what member do you will they lose?

While I have only started posting, I have actually been lurking for several months. I have looked at a few boards and have found I liked this one the best.

I have been watching MM since its first show and have only missed a couple of their episodes, which I have caught on re-runs. In fact, I was suppose to being going out of town with my best friend for the week-end of August 10th and then I found out it was the week when MM 3 started and I canceled. My daughter could not believe it but I had waited too long as it was! While she may not watch MM she sure knows a lot about it. I had no idea she did until she said today after a commercial... "Mom, have you heard?! Flowers missing!"

I am 37 and my daughter says I still act young when I am with my best friend. We have only 1 dog, our 3 yr. old, Sam, currently. However, I have had too many pets to name over the years. I am an addict as the name suggest's about Wildlife and Conservation. While Big Cats are my favorite wildlife animals, I have to say the Meerkat's are quickly catching up!

Most of my fav's are either dead or MIA, I am afraid. My fav was Tosca!!! with a close runner up of Shakespeare. I also adored Yoyo, Carlos, and Cazanna. Now I am left with Mozart, the poor thing, and our beloved Mitch.

While I understand that things are rough for our lil friends right now, it sure would be nice to see the lighter side of the Kalahari for a few shots. Perhaps some tender grooming & cuddling, and perhaps watching them all have one good day.

Flower4ever I am a big fan of Idaho! My husband and I have visited there on vacation several times. We especially love the Sandpoint area and Lake Hegben near Yellowstone.

Hello everyone, I've been a member for some time but never really joined in all the fun, lol. Glad to join the burrow!!!! Like everyone else I have watched MM since the beginning (lots of tears also). I do read alot of the post here in the forum, trying like everyone else to figure out whats going on or trying to figure out what AP is up too, lol. I love these little Meerkats and like everyone else can't seem to get enough of them. So a big HELLO and thanks for the welcome!!!!

hi kats, i've been a die-hard lover of this show since the start...it "WAS" a cute calm and relaxing show for all... i've grown to luv these little guys and care about them, but as stated before most of favorites are dead or mia's, and as of late with all of the kaos, fighting, killing of pups, death by tb, hawks, snakes and rivals, it looks like the nightly news!!! the sight of mozarts dead pups paw, poor carlos lyind dead and soon to loose flower, its very sad...it hit me hard, now i tell the kids maybe they shouldn't watch them. i know that my nephew will freak when he finds out that flower is gone...i know that this is nature, just very sad!!!

Hi, everybody. I just found MM this summer during the reruns of seasons 1 and 2. This season has been pretty hard to take and after watching poor Carlos suffer, I think I'll just lurk here to find out what happens and not watch. But I still love the little fellers. My family and I were able to go to Tampa to Busch Gardens at Christmas and they had some meerkats. They were so precious. I have mixed feelings about the park having the animals in captivity, but I'm glad to have had the opportunity to see some in person. I just want to say that it is great to have this forum and everyone's posts are a treat to read. Thanks!

I first saw this show on Saterday or Sunday, luckily i caught the first episode of the 3rd season. i had nothing else to watch so i flipped it on. i thought i wouldent like it, but them little fellers drew me in like a bug to a light. then i found this chat. now i can talk to fellow MM fans. hello everybody in the burrow. i haven't checked in for quite some time, so welcome all of you that are new to us. i'm also having a real hard time dealing with all of this that is happening this season. i will have to see if i have it in me to continue watching. haven't heard anything more on flowers book lately. i want to make sure to get one. i now have an austrailian shepherd,a st. bernard,a maltese, 2 yorkies,a small mix, a cat and 4 chinchillas. so i have alot of comfort when i'm sad. even though i don't check in, i still take the time to see what all of you are thinking. please keep the love coming. love and hugs to all.

well, here it is friday night and i almost dread turning on the tv. but like the rest of everybody, i still have to watch. how are we to get through all of what is happening? i wish you could all come over here and keep me sane. i know, i'm doing alot venting, and i hope i don't get censured, but you are all i have, i'm sure alot of you are in the same place that i am in with only the keyboard to talk to. thank you all for being here for me and everybody else. so i'll go turn on the tv and sit and cry for awhile. but i know that i'm not alone. love and hugs to all.

Meerkataddict My fav was Tosca as well.She just grabbed at my heart and as of yet,,,,has not let go.Daisy is another she reminds of her father Yossarrian who we have'nt seen.Sophie is a sweet pile of love.While I didn't always agree with the things Flower has done.I have always resepected her.She will always be one of the greatest leader of the Kalahari. and some of the things she let slide other DF would have killed already like daughters havings pups.She is much kinder than most.Mitch is great.He is trying very hard.Future DM?

Yes it is turning out to be a rough seaon for the meerkats;drought,disease. We can only pray they are strong and tough enough and have the will to survive.

Greetings fellow meerkat fans. I have been watching the series since episode 1 but only recently joined the forums. My wife and I love the show. We realize that it is nature and life and death events, but did find the first 2 seasons a bit easier to watch than this season. However we are devoted fans and will keep watching. I just wanted to say hello to everyone and join in the fun. Now off to do a little foraging.
