Thank you Nightweaver! Next Tuesday the Calif. State Tests begin...for 4 days...and after that...the babies do not know it yet...but we are doing Art!!!! Music!!!! And for the third time...I will teach my class how to make an American Flag Quilt, for the flag day assembly, I am in charge of...June 14th. (I used to teach my 6th graders how to knit a scarf, the only thing I can knit but I don't trust certain members of this class with knitting needles

Meergato...yes..my boots are made for walking! I believe I still have my Nancy Sinatra album with that song on it lol

I am officially in charge of the count-down calendar in the teacher's lounge. We are down to day 33 (remember, I do not count weekends). I found some giant stickers to cross off the days that say, "Girls just want to have fun".

well, we FINALLY found a place that takes our insurance. everywhere, i found such cute frames, but they wanted us to pay in cash. isnt that ridiculouse?! the frames were a bluish brown with silver stars and moons on the sides, with thin rectangular lenses.... too bad i couldnt get them.

Hey Hildy, Love the new ditty! How many days till you're set free? Right there with you on the gas prices - can remember my dad making gas runs to a station in Hawiian Gardens to get at 25 cents! Was at 29 cents, same station, when the family station wagon became mine.

DD been there with the glasses, wearing them since 2nd grade. Got the contacts at 14yrs - no teen girl wants to be wearing coke bottle bottoms w/those UGLY frames only available then. Still have contacts & have to wear readers too (I'm at the AARP age, ughh) but w/the new THIN lenses they make now for glasses, I can now have a pair that looks good!

2 1/2 mos till my escape from the land of Twin Peaks (David Lynch only scratched at the surface of the weirdness here)- Yeah!!!!

I just ordered two tee-shirts from HomeRoomDirect.com..they sell tchr stuff. One says "Retired Teacher on the Loose" with a car driving off into the sunset, and the other says "The Legend is Retiring". I had to laugh because I just got an email that said the Legend tee is on back order due to High Demand Apparently there are alot of boomers leaving...and we think we are all Legends
