DD..sweetie, I was born in June too, except June 25th! Cannot wait for my birthday either...means I am eligible to retire! DD, you are happy when you get art and music. Good girl...they have taken most of that away...my students get music for 30 minutes a week. They have taken away so many good things..in the interest of test scores!

Anyway...it is raining, hailing...and tree in my tiny backyard, which is really a ficus bush I planted ten years ago...looks like it is ready to fall. And my poor little Lilac Bush, which I adore...has bloomed again..in Jan..gets so confused with the "hot/cold"..Darn..so now..I look at tiny blooms and say sorry.

What color is the Lilac bush? I love the white ones, but can't be around them due to pollen. Our poor 'zaleas here don't know what to do either - is it winter, is it spring? Sprinter? Winring?

My poor lilac bush..a friend here, knew when I had to move here, I loved Lilacs...upstate NY..they grow natural...so ten years ago..she buys a Ca lilac bush for me..poor little thing...keep starting to bloom then we get weather..but 3 years ago, it actually bloomed! I went out every morning and smelled my lilacs!Always makes me think of special time with my mom! When I was making enough money..I took her on a 3 day vacation to Solvang..a little Danish town..north of LA. We were driving to motel...and she said.."look lilacs" well sisters, I pulled car to halt..took out swiss army knife...and cut a bunch of back east Lilacs for my mom.. handed them to mom..she said you will get in trouble...I said "don't they smell glorious"

And so if you are a youngster here, someday stop and buy your mom some flowers! Aunt Hildy

Hildy, your post made me cry. When I was little, we used to sleep with our windows up and the door wide open. Right below my bedroom window was the sweetest smelling lilac bush and I could smell it through the open window. The smell of lilac always takes me back to my childhood. Thank you for sharing. Yes, lilacs are lovely...my bush produces lite lavendar ones...not as fragrant as back east...but still enough scent to make me smile. Now they just look like little buttons of lav...

Well it rained all night again...but none today. However the playground was still to wet...so another day in the pups burrow...hopefully tomorrow will be okay. Ryan was twenty minutes late...my hopes were up...but...oh well

we had a lilac bush but my dad cut it do for good it was more like a lilac tree but my dad was alergic to it so R.I.P yours and mine both pretty lilac bushes(i never seen yours but i'm sure it was pretty though)

Well Dmoo, glad you are enjoying whatever new book you are reading! The incentive package is dependent on 8 people retiring. I know of one other besides myself..so her and I have to go shake up the Old,Old Timers...and say...time to go They have to put in their letter of intent soon, so the union can negotiate something.

Ryan...well gosh...he was absent for 3 days did however...slam in this am...moose in a china shop little sweetheart. If he gets any closer to the door...he would be outside.

Just keep him away from the glass cabinets, and put an umbrella over the poor little (!) guy's head; he'll do just fine.

Go wake up old timers, tell em get a move on. I found my paperwork and got it moving - they can do it too!!
