kesch- i live in west central illinois. just 40 miles south of moline and the quad cities. town called knoxville, by galesburg. home of carl sandburg. and the whoop-t-doo raliroad hall of fame. woo hoo! but the weather goes from west to east and we always get what you get. so get yourself out there and stop it please! this weather is driving me crazy. we still have dense fog. and a snow storm tomorrow. go figure.
do you all know about the deal where the cops keep giving my son a hard time? well, that got stopped in a hurry. just as my son left for work the other day, a four-wheeler zoomed up behind him. well i called the cops on him. i turned on the scanner and the cop was following my son again. my son got in trouble for driving his four-wheeler, so two can play that game. and i told dispatch to have the cop stop at my house. so in pulled county and the k-ville cop. that cop didn't get two steps out of his car and i laid right into him. wish i taped that one. i was right in his face about how he harasses my son and it's going to stop or we'll be going to court. have you ever seen a cop back down from a little grandma before? the county officer just sat back and let me have at it. god was i good! in the end, he promised to leave him alone. whew haven't heard my son's name over the air since.

Hey you go sista, I would do the same if the cops were picking on my son. I respect law enforcement and all that, but we have some small town cops that are just a pain in the booty. well for the latest girls. right now it's icing. it looks like big snow but it's ice. covering pretty fast. then it's supposed to change to snow where we are expected to get 8 to 12 inches. then the wind. they expect wide spread power outages.
you better start dancin kesch. hildy, you just come on over and we'll make us a hunka-hunka snowman! at least i don't have to go out in it, but my daughter is driving in it right now. she just called and the roads are pretty bad. stay tuned

OH korkiemama, I sure hope you dont loose your power sister! I'am sure your daughter will be carefull, but tell her to anyways. I hate driving on ice, sure cant dance on it either! well, right now i don't know what we are going to get. it changed to rain and the weather channel says that we are only going to get 1 inch. but we are under a winter storm watch. my DM is driving to dallas and they have tornado watches all over the place. my daughter made it home ok.

i guess the weather channel doesn't know beans about the weather. the snow is up to my first step and can't see across the road. waiting to see if they close down my son's factory. he has to drive to peoria in all of this. going to make a check-in thread for people who have bad weather so we know that our family is ok. hope they let me post it. take care all.

Cordee, sister, someone here (it may have been JTuttion) recommended melontonin for anxious doggies, so I tried 3mgs for my 75lb Belgian Shephard. It helps him alot, without all the side affects of prescription stuff. Might want to check it out.

Kescha, when it rains here, I put down all my old army blankets for my guys to walk on, so it looks like we have cammo carpet!
