*grooms dmoo753* im still awake and i like to talk, but i take it personal to tenderly groom the pups and excavate the burrow. it still needs alot of work. u kno how the whiskers got fleas in one of theirs. im a young boucy female, so im up 4 babysitting 2morrow. afterall i stuffed 2day so i wont have to forage 2 morrow. good night every1.

I knew what was coming & was trying to brace myself. I wasn't too sure I could watch it but I taped it & watched it later. It's so weird because I knew the outcome but when I was watching I still kept hoping it would end differently. I love Mozart so much & was in denial I guess. this season just keeps getting sadder & sadder. at first I didn't even like Kinkaju because of how she treated Mozart (& killed her pups) but I couldn't help but feel sympathy for her at the end. none of them deserve to have suffered like that. to me, this is turning into a Shakespearan tragedy where all the main characters die. much too sad & tragic. well that was a depressing note! sorry bout that! at least our Mozart was still enticing enough to seduce a younger kat (wilson) toward the end! I was happy to see her with a companaion if only for a short time. thanks again!

G'morning burrow-mates! Also glad to know I'm not the only kat who keeps wee hours at times [though I pay for it on week nights!]. Sometimes I'm like a little pup that won't get to bed - even when I say I'm signing off... I get too distracted and still want to play - ended up looking at other threads on the chat board and then watched Dr. Who before I conked.

Darkdream thanks for all the grooming - it soothed me to sleep and helped me get a really good snooze..have only been up a short while this morning. Really needed the rest, so thanks for the warmth and tenderness!

Dmoo I like your description of Mozart with her Mama and sisters, all safe and sound. It helps a lot. I keep tellin' myself I'm going to get used to the circle of life and death in the Kalahari as I continue watching, but so far - uh, I dunno, I'm still challenged with that. But, burrow-mates that's why I return to the warmth of this mob!

More hugs, grooming, nuzzles, coffee and tea to all this morning for a great stretch and wake up! Don't know how the weather is everyone else's way, but it's sunny, breezy and cool here. Still, though, let's go sit in the sun to warm and then later forage for some breakfast!

I'm Auntiemeerkat... because my niece says so.

My burrow is in the Berkshires; western Massachusetts, where I moved 10 years ago from my San Francisco burrow, to care for my grandkats. They are with Flower and Mozart now, and will watch over them.

I am the Director of Marketing for an assisted living burrow, which is home to a gang of 125 amazing seniorkats!

I live w/ my SigOtherDM (tho I'm more D than he is!), and his two kiddos, and my daughter lives in her own burrow.

I have two dogs, three cats, and a ferret. Oh ~ and a whole Kalahari-full of Meerkats who have become such an important and meaningful part of my heart. As have all of you, who understand the Meerkat way. As I've posted previously, we are a Meerkat Nation! And I am so very proud to belong.

I've met the Meerkats at the Indianapolis Zoo, (who have an absolutely beautiful habitat there, I am happy to report) and must say it was one of the most significant experiences in my life.

Thank you again, to all who understand. You're a breed apart.

MK#1, I don't think I even want to get used to dealing with all the sorrow. I never want to get so desensitized that it will fail to touch my heart. I believe that is half the problem in the human world. So yes, I will cry each and every time knowing that I am a caring loving person.

i went to a zoo in tenessee and the meerkats there love to play. u can go in the enclosure through a plastic tonnel. but u kno, theres not very many there. ne wa y *begins removing extra dirt from burrow* lookout behind me.
