Goodness, fires and floods, disaster everywhere! I just want to round everyone up and get them into a safe burrow. Now I know how Zaphod felt during that crazy burrow move
Hi there, melba and dmoo. It's a "calm Thursday" before another "black Friday". Things will probably be crazy around here tomorrow night. Did you see our snake friend's thread to mod_kelly? We'd better be on our best behavior or...or...or WHAT?
Good morning Melba and dmoo753! Yes the fires and drought are terrible. I feel so bad for people. Wish we could round them all up and make them safe. We sure have to be thankfull for what we have. Have been praying for all.
Good morning, Melba, Dmoo, Susybear, and Kesch. Hope today brings good news for our Cal. burrowmates. Susy, think I'll stay away from that thread. That guys a real jewel. lol
Hey all, I'am afraid our susybear is right about tommorow night! We all should keep a close watch for trolls. Morning Cordee! I didn't see the news about that melba, thats terrible.
I guess that's his "bad side"? I hope it's a calm Thursday. Hildy and company need one. I read that there was a fire headed in the general direction of FE. Hope not. Does anyone know it the Discovery disaster animal team is headed that way. I saw piece on a different channel about how the authorities were urging everyone to bring their furry family members. Thank the gods; it was so sad after what happened during Katrina.
Morning all, hope everybody had a good night. I just saw on my homepage the arson is suspected in the Cali fire.
Blackmumbo? Isn't that a snake? Last night before I left I thought it was someone else who had started attacking one of us.
I'm here, I just have to open another window and get some work done.
On another note, if we have no personal info posted, what can loser boy do to us? His threat is more of a joke, he got shut down once, and he can be shut down again.
Somebody get this poor soul some meds or something.
The stuff he is referring to is a pretty common way of surfing and/or posting anonymously, thus attempts by mod_kelly to ban his ip address would not be effective.
The reference to hundreds of email accounts, that he has, well, hundreds of accounts to link his AP forum membership to, so he would not be banned because that email registration link is banned.
I think in his new name, the 88, refers to date of birth, making him 19, It all fits.
Keep referring to him as a him, but really, what girl do you know would do this.
Sigh.... I love all people, guys, so much, I am now beginning to feel sorry for this guy. I mean, why?, does he do this? Why? Where are/were his parents? What is his obsession with MM? He doesn't sound busy enough to be a college student, but he could. What does his girlfriend think, does she know, of this? Maybe she is on the board and he doesn't like it.
Morning, Melba. I agree, this poor guy is sad. He puts so much effort into interacting with the kats in this burrow yet he says we have no life or are pathetic. Sounds to me like he wishes he were part of our mob.

You know, you just hit on something.
I thought bugnutman was a troll until I started to engage him in things other than meerkats and he was really pretty nice.
I wish he would come back.
sharkattacksteve, blackmambo88 - who ever you are, can we just agree to disagree ?
petgirl, I'll have a lemon filled. Can you believe someone would intentionally start a fire that causes so much devastation and loss just for kicks? The news said police shot and killed a suspected arsonist last night. It's so sad.
Good morning to all. I've been having computer problems and haven't been on the board in a few days. Looks like I missed some oddball stuff. What enjoyment do people get out of hanging around a board that they have no interest in, other than causing problems? I don't get it.
The same goes for people starting fires intentionally. I'll never understand. The devastation out west is horrible. Thank goodness it looks as though they might catch a break now.
Good morning everyone! I just got off of work and I have a valuable piece of advice for everyone. NEVER change your driver's tire on the shoulder of a highway! It seems like common sense, but sometimes in the wake of a stressful event (like a flat tire)we don't always think about safety first! Last night I saw an unfortunate patient who was doing just that and was sadly hit by another vehicle and killed.
I don't want to bring the mood down, but I know from my own personal experiences that I don't always think before I "do". This sad event will make me think twice, I just want everyone else to be safe too in all that you do!
'Morning, shadilu. That's great advice. We never really think about it but not everyone drives with the same concentration that we ourselves might. Especially with all the cell phoning, texting, GPS watching, etc. going on, so many more people aren't paying full attention to the road in front of them. They drift off to the right or left without even realizing it and if someone or something happens to be in the way....well, it's just sad.
Good Morning everyone. I just love this place. My prayers are still with everyone in SoCal. Hope all is safe and sound. Wishing everyone a great day! Be Safe.
imas, me too. This will be harder for me than JE. And we're going out of town tomorrow afternoon, so I'll miss the episode and you all until Sunday evening or Monday morn.

Waka laka laka wa Waka laka laka wa... Ole, toro, Bravo!
Hey guys and gals! Melba, I agree with you about the bugnutman. Wonder why he hasn't come back? As for the other guy here, I think its just to get attention. If he wanted to have an intelligent conversation, why didn't he just do that? I dont know. Hey Lindsy, great song!
Melba....do you remember when the movie, "That's Entertainment!" first came out back in 1974? (For the younger crowd, it was a compilation of MGM's greatest musical moments.) I remember vividly (I was 15 at the time) how wonderful it was to see all those fantastic old musicals again (TV at that point really wasn't running most of them - cable was just coming in at around that time).
I remember when Fred Astaire and Eleanor Powell were doing their "Begin the Beguine" tap number - in the middle, the audience finally couldn't stand it any more and everyone just stood up and clapped! That was the first time I ever saw a movie audience applauding the screen.
keshttp://community.discovery.com/groupee_common/platform_images/blank.gif Instant Graemlinscha - I will do that, she needs it
lindsey - I love that movie and I love all the old movies, especially anything in black & white, anything with dancing, and best of all Fred Astaire , I just adore him!!!
Good Morning everyone! Y'all must get up really early. Its just a little after 8 am here, but then I have been checking all news reports about the fires since 5 am. Love this thread, certainly no trolls so far. There's alway one bad apple in every bunch. But my way of protesting is not to respond to anything he says....he feeds on the attention. If only he could put his energy to something constructive (sigh).
The fire situation down here has improved since yesterday, but it's far from over. Air quality still bad, all schools closed and most people are just staying inside if they can. Lots of people are being allowed back into their neighborhoods, either to stay, or assess the damage. There are reports of two of the fires being arson related, but one was started by a car fire, one by a downed power transmitter, and another is still under investigation. The others I don't know about. I wanted to take a drive out the Wild Animal Park today, but I am hearing of many road closures still in that area. Will try for tomorrow. Anyway, everyone have a good day! Dreading tomorrow night!

Who knows.
Melba your right Black is young, he's been watching far to many Harry Potter movies, LOL.
I think he just wants somebody to talk to.
My local radio station was saying homeowners in the area where the fires started had million dollar homes but not million dollar incomes. Investigators were looking at that.
Cordee, Black is a loner, friends are not something he's interested in. No one here has ever been less than friendly with him, until he started.
Kinda like a cat scratching a forbidden couch or a dog using a rug to relieve himself. If negative attention is all he knows how to get it's a pretty pathetic situation. Working in a school district for years, unfortunately every year I see children whose parents cannot or will not provide them with positive influence or good role models. What goes around comes around.
In the early morning rain with a dollar in my hand And an aching in my heart and my pockets full of sand I'm a long way from home and I miss my loved one so In the early morning rain with nowhere to go.
Out on runway number nine, big 707 set to go I'm stuck here on the ground, where the cold winds blow The liquor tasted good and the women all were fast There she goes, my friend, she's rolling down at last.
Hear the mighty engines roar, see the silver bird on high She's away and westward bound, far above the clouds she'll fly Where the morning rain don't fall and the sun always shines She'll be flying over my home in about three hours time.
This old airport's got me down, it's no earthly good to me Because I'm stuck here on the ground, cold and drunks as I might be You can't hop a jet plane like you can a freight train So I'd best be on my way in the early morning rain.
Lindsey, you know Gordy's songs! My favorite: Gord's Gold. I would have done anything to see him in concert. Hold on, eyes blurring - this song so fits this dreary morning. You're good girl. I'll sing you one this evening after tonight's episode.
I hope it ends on an upnote. I can't imagine out SC mob wanting to see one more tiny flicker of flame, I hope it's not too hard on them.
Melba, we'll all be "televisiphonernetting" without the phones! Have you seen those commercials...LOL! I think of myself when I see them....laptop in hand and glued to the TV during MM.
The song is "Early Morning Rain" written by Gordon Lightfoot in the mid 60's. It was recorded by a number of other artists including Peter, Paul and Mary and Ian & Sylvia.
