Good afternoon everyone. Dropping by before I head home. cordee, you and your family are in my prayers. It's good to see you back in the burrow too kescha, hope you didn't inhale too much dust today. It's been one of those days for me too. Tomorrow is not looking much brighter, but I'll make the best of it. Hopefully I can chat in the morning. squirrellygirly, they say the steelers are coming off of a superbowl hangover. I think they are starting to come around though. They looked awesome in that game. I love my boys no matter what though and hope that Ben gets through this tuff time okay. I'm sure everything will be alright. Hey imas!!!! I understand everyone is cooling off or freezing. Well..........it's still in the 90's here in the Florida burrow with heat indexes in the 100's....Isn't that lovely. I just can't wait for FALL. Ya'll have an excellent evening. Ya'll have a great evening.

Good late morning, everybody. Thanks for your thoughts and prayers. My niece is home, they just did the dye tests and now she has to wait for her doctor to call. This flu is kicking my butt, yall. Kescha, I hope you have a better day today and get done soon with that creepy basement. Titus, stay where it's cool, sister. Have a great day, all!

Good morning burrowmates!
Cordee, The Quirkies are really worried about FloMo. The last time we heard from her she was very sick, and now her phone and email are disconnected. I'm afraid something bad has happened.
Only 3 more days until my marathon! The DM and I are leaving Saturday for the Steamtown Marathon on Sunday morning in Scranton, Pa. It's supposed to be good weather that day.
So many chipmunks running around my backyard! I felt bad yesterday for one of them that fell in our small ornamental pond while getting a drink of water. He got right back out again, but I'm sure a cold bath was not fun.

Hey! Cordee, your niece is definitely in our prayers; please keep us posted. Squirelly, I'm getting out of breath just thinking about that marathon; good running! I, and all the kids, and most of the grandkids, took Shirley out to dinner on Saturday; we went to this new steakhouse near the house. We had great food and a good time was had by all. (Except for the way the Georgia football game ended!) Hey Kesch! Gotta get ready for work.

Afternoon everyone. kescha, sounds like they have a house under a house...what a mess it sounds like. I hope you get finished with it soon. A HARD FREEZE!!!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOW! Wonder where our cooler weather is I'll be glad when it decides to show up. I'll try to be around in the morning. Love ya! Hey Dave, that dinner sounded like a lot of fun. Family gathering can be a blast amongst the right members. I'm glad you all had a great time. squirrellygirly, all of these marathons you run...........they wear me out and I'm not even in them. LOL..I hope you have a wonderful time. Cordee, I hope you get some good news. That would be wonderful for you. I'm staying in the air conditioning sister. I will be so glad for cooler weather. I'm tired of looking at my light bills Everyone have a wonderful evening. I'll pop in tomorrow.

Good afternoon burrowmates!
Happy Friday everyone. Not a whole lot going on here, just getting ready for my road trip to Scranton tomorrow.
I was glad Yasmin got booted off Survivor last night, she was annoying. How can you think that being lazy around camp is a good strategy! And those ridiculous shoes she was wearing!

Good afternoon burrowmates! Happy Columbus day to everyone. I'm so glad I have the day off of work today, I'm a real hurting puppy today after my marathon yesterday in Scranton. Unfortunately it didn't go well for me at all... in fact it was my worst race of the year. I made the dumb mistake of going out too fast the first 10 miles. Then I developed a huge blister on the bottom of one foot that threw my stride off and made my hamstrings tight. At least 25-30 runners passed me in the second half.... not good! I'm really disappointed I got "The Meerkats" DVD in the mail on Saturday. I can't wait to watch it!

Morning burrowmates, another cold rainy dreary day. My sweetie pea, Dillenger is having a flare up of his Perianul Fistula disease. Hes still on his meds, so theres not too many options at this point. Iam just taking it day by day, and we will see what happens. Keep your paws crossed.
Cordee, any news on your sister? Iam keeping her in my prayers sis. I did get done with the basement. I took my camera, and of coarse its hard to get a picture of anything, but I did catch something strange in the bathroom. Love you and miss you!
Squirrellygirly, Iam sorry you didnt do so well in your last race. It would be hard to run with a blister! I know you will get em on your next race. You always do quite well.
Titus, I know things are crazy for you. Hang in there sister. Hugs
Hey Dave!
Shocat, any news on Casy? I have been keeping her in my prayers.

Dave, how's the front porch critter feeding going? Any new additions? I have a 7:30 to 9pm meeting after work tonight... ugghhh. We have one once a month, at least this month it's not on a Tuesday night when I meet my running group.

Hi everyone. Getting cold here and not so nice weather predicted for the week-end. Cordee, will keep your family in my prayers. Kescha also praying for Dillenger. I saw the messages about Flomo. Was she also on the other chat? I seem to remember her from there.
Casey is responding to the fluids. We are doing them once a week. She has lost a little more weight and this concerns me. Will see how her numbers are in a couple of weeks. Thanks for remembering her.
Everyone have a good rest of the week.

Thank you Squirrellygiry and Shocat, my vet changed Dillengers meds a little bit. Its expensive, I just hope it helps. Shocat, thanks for the update on Casey. I will continue to keep her in my prayers. Its so hard when our babies get sick. I havent heard from Flomo in a long time, I know she was busy working, shes a nurse. I hope shes ok.
Cordee, my bad, its your niece that is having tests done. Please let me know how shes doing. Love and miss you.

Good morning burrowmates!
Happy Friday to everyone. I just saw the first snow flurries of the year this morning on my way in to work.
Shocat, glad to hear Casey is responding to the fluids. That's good news.
This weekend will be a nice relaxing one for me. No races and not working, so I'll have some time to loaf around the house and catch up on my DVD's. I really want to watch "The Meerkats" tomorrow, I just got it last week and haven't had a chance to watch it yet.
Flowermozartfan (FloMo) used to post here, at MasterMeerkat's forum, and at Quirkie Meerkat Jeopardy. Nobody has heard from her since January.
I was glad Ashley got voted off Survivor. She was really weak at challenges and didn't contribute much.

Hey! God bless all our friends out there that are sick, both two and four legged. Squirrelly, Ashley was kind of a do-nothing; we can't wait to see Russell get his just desserts. Shirley & I are fixing to go to Lowe's to get a gate to keep big dogs off the porch; they're eating the food before the cats. Dang their sense of smell! Gotta go!

Good Morning Burrowmates. Yesterday was a georgous day. We put our Sweetie Pea, Dillenger to sleep, and burried him in the back yard. Brutals depressed, but he is eating, so thats good. Now its suppose to rain for three days. I got a call from Jacob yesterday, and he deploys in march. Straight to Afghanistan. Hes only 18, so keep him in your prayers please.
Dave, your doing a wonderful thing for those outside kittys, hugs meerbro.
Squirrellygirly, Iam glad you had a nice relaxing weekend,
Shocat, how is Casey? Iam still keeping her in my prayers.

Hey! Kesch, I'm thinking about, and saying a prayer for ya; I know how hard it is to have to put down an old friend and family member; as I have said before, you will see him again. We will certainly keep Jacob in our thoughts & prayers; Shirley's step grandson is going to Kirkuk in Iraq next month. There is still a lot of factional violence there so ya'll remember him , too. We found out where the two big dogs were coming from; a neighbors place about 100 yards down the road. We thought that may be where they were from and when we pulled into their yard, we were surrounded by about six or seven dogs of all shapes and sizes with wagging tails and friendly faces. When I told the man about seeing two dogs on our porch, he said I bet it was him and him, pointing to a sheperd and another big dog that was part hound and part who knows. He said that they have learned how to climb out of their kennel, which is constructed from wood & chicken wire, like climbing a ladder. He said he would have to chain them up in the kennel to keep them from climbing out and we said we hated for him to have to do that and he replied that he didn't have a choice, that he couldn't afford to do anything to the kennel right now; I got the impression he may have been out of work since it was 2 in the afternoon on Friday. We're going to see what we can do for him about adding some height to the kennel. Gotta go; car repairs to do!

Hey Dave, Dillenger, my Sweetie Pea, was a young friend. He would have been 4 tomorrow. He was very sick. Of coarse I will keep Shirleys grandson in my prayers. Bless you for helping that guy make his kennels better for his dogs. I hate to see dogs on chains. My neighbor keeps his three on cable ties, and leaves them out in all kinds of weather. Animal control has been keeping an eye on him for awhile now.
Paw waves everyone, have a great day!

Good morning burrowmates! It's beautiful autumn weather here! Sunny and 60's and leaves at peak color. Kescha so sorry to hear about the loss of Dillenger, especially at only 4 years old 18 years old seems so young for someone to be going off to war, I'll keep Jacob in my thoughts. Dave, that's a good idea to get a gate for the porch. My Mom just got one of those doggy doors so Clancy can go outside whenever he needs to. He's 14 1/2 and his bladder control is not what it was when he was younger. That's great that you're helping that neighbor with his kennel so the dogs won't have to be chained up. I hate to see dogs chained all the time. I watched "The Meerkats" DVD over the weekend. It was really good. It's about a pup named Kolo and his family, and it follows him for a year. There are a few scary parts, but only one death and the rest is mostly happy.

Good afternoon everyone.
Finally took a few minutes to stop by and say hello.
Kescha, my heart breaks for you. You and the boys are in my prayers. I'm sure Brutal will be okay with a little extra love and attention from you. You will help each other get through this tuff time. I love ya! I'm keeping Jacob in my prayers also.
dave, you are so nice to help that man out. I can't stand to see dogs on chains either. I will say a prayer for Shirley's step grandson. I'll be glad when this war is over and our troops can come home.
squirrellygirly, we had autumn weather for about 3 days. It's getting back up in the upper 80's again. It was perfect Saturday and Sunday, nice and cool and breezy. I had my house opened up for the fresh air.
Hope you all have a good afternoon.

Good Morning Burrowmates. My how time flys, my DM starts his vacation this weekend. We have our October fest starting up wed. I wish they would change it up a bit, same ol same o. Good food though.
Hey Imas, good to see you. Nice of you to have house guests for that long. Look for a little package in the mail next week. Sorry its taken me forever and a day. As Gilda Radner used to say, its always something. So true, may she rest in peace.
Hey Titus, thank you sis. Brutals depressed, but hes not doing too bad considering. Iam going to be so worried about Jacob. He calls me all the time to tell me whats going on. He always tells me he loves me and misses me. We sure love and miss him too. Cant wait till December, he gets to come home for two weeks. We are waiting to hear from Jeff. He should be just about done with boot camp by now. Its Friday sister! Hugs, love you too.
Hey Dave!
Squirrelleygirly, thank you, 18 seems way to young to me too.
Shocat, keeping Casy in my prayers.

Good afternoon burrowmates! Happy Friday to everyone. I have to work tomorrow so it doesn't feel like a real Friday for me. Titus sorry the hot weather is coming back for you, 3 days of fall isn't enough. Kescha, October fests are always fun... as long as it's not cold and rainy! Imas, guests for 2 weeks... that's a long time. I don't think I've ever had guests for more than 1 week. The DM and I are going to the Steeler game on Sunday. I won 2 game tickets at the Steeler 5K back in August. The only times I've been to Steeler games is when I win the tickets, no way would I pay $125 dollars to watch a football game. They play the Vikings, it should be a good game.

I'm glad it's Friday though. Octoberfests are always nice especially if they have good food. hey Imas......nice to see you back in the burrow. Hey Dave! Everyone have a great weekend.

Good afternoon burrowmates!
I had a GREAT time yesterday at the Steeler game. You couldn't have asked for a more perfect autumn day: sunny and 60's and no wind. The game was exciting, the Vikings kept threatening to take the lead the entire game but the Steeler defense held them off and scored 2 touchdowns on turnovers. I hadn't been to a game in a long time, it was a lot of fun.
Another sunny beautiful day today too, and warm weather all week.

I have another one of those pain in the butt evening meetings after work This is the second one this month.. grrrrrrrr. My Mom and her boyfriend are leaving this Friday for 2 weeks in Arizona, including the Grand Canyon. I'm envious! The DM and I went to the Grand Canyon back in 1991, but I'd love to go again.

Dave, I will pray for Shirley's step-son.

Hey! Squirrelly, We're still feeding a few cats, a few dogs and God only knows what other kinds of wildlife. We thought one of our occasional feline feeders had lost his ninth life, when we saw a big black & white cat on the side of the road, about a mile from the house; but three days later, Shirley saw him on the porch. The family that started us putting food out, still come eat but they don't lay around on the porch or sleep on the swing anymore, and they seem to be very nervous when they eat. I guess the dogs and the other wildlife have got them spooked. We did catch another cat at work and he( I think he's a he) is currently at our vet, awating alteration. From what I understand, that Steelers vs. Vikings game was a classic; I'm glad you as a friend, and a Steelers fan, got to see it. But, I must say that Brett Favre is one of my favorite players; he's just a good ol' boy and actually started his career as an Atlanta Falcon. But I like the Steelers too; Terry Bradshaw is another of my favs. Survivor is good this season; still looking forward to Russell getting his come-up-ance. I'm sure it will happen after the merge. Bye y'all!

Dave, so glad that wasn't one of your cats that got run over. I always feel bad when I see a squirrel run over near my house, and hope it's not one of the ones that come to my feeders every day. I've always liked Brett Favre too. Did you see him in "There's something about Mary"? That was funny!

Hello all- Sorry to have been gone for so long. Have had a lot going on. Kescha- So sorry to hear about Dillenger. Such a young boy too. We have had lots going on here. Some good, some bad. I rescued a boxer mix pup that Buudy does not get a long with. He spent twenty five days at the vet this month, recovering from fights. The day that he came home was a good one until I went to the ferret house and found that my precious Tucker had left us. He went peacefully, in his own home, in his own bed, like I had hoped for him but I was still sad. I am still sad about it now. On the up side, Buddy is doing very well and was voted pet of the month at his vet clinic. http://www.lmah.net/pet-of-the-month/1109-buddy.htmlWill write more later. I hope you all are well. I will try not to be gone so long again.

Good morning burrowmates!
Codyferret good to see you back. So sorry to hear about little Tucker's passing. If I remember right, wasn't he the one that was abandoned in a park and they didn't think he would live long? Maybe I'm confusing him with one of your other ferrets. Buddy is so cute! Such a happy little ham, that picture is adorable.
I have the day off tomorrow. My Mom and her boyfriend are spending 2 weeks vacation in the Grand Canyon area. Her neighbor is taking care of Clancy for her, but I'm stopping over a few times to keep him company because he gets lonely when my Mom is away. Poor baby is almost totally deaf (he's 14 1/2 years old) but he can still walk once around the block, as long as he stops to sniff a hundred times or so! Clancy is around 70 lbs, so he is old for a dog of that size. I hope he is with us for a while, but realisticly I know that he might not be with us this time next year.

Good morning burrowmates! Happy Friday to everyone. It was a bit chilly this morning with frost on the ground, but at least the weekend is supposed to be nice. Shocat good to see you here again. Give a hug to Casey for me Clancy was so happy to see me yesterday. We went for a walk around the block and he sniffed every pile of poop there was! Survivor was good last night, got to love those blindside votes! I hope one of the boring girls like Kelly, Monica, or Laura go next. They're just there to look good in a bikini, they don't really contribute anything. I have to work tomorrow... Boo hiss

Good morning all!
Yes, Tucker was the little guy who was abandoned by his previous owners when he became sick. He came here to have a good place to live out the last of his life. He was only with us for a year, but in that short time he burrowed his way into my heart and was well loved. He will be missed.
We rescued a young dog a few months ago. She is a boxer/bully mix. She is a sweet girl who just wants to be part of a family. It is so sad what people do to animals. Someone just threw her over the fence at the pound. There is a lot of abandoning of animals here lately.

Morning Burrowmates, Cody its good to see you posting. Yeah for you, for taking that dog! We also rescued two kittens, that were dumped behind the high school. A male and female, they are about five weeks old now, and doing great. Buddy is adorable! Iam so sorry to hear about Tucker.
Shocat, Im keeping Casy in my prayes. My Bear baby is not doing good at all either, and I knew this was comming. Hes 15, and all of his organs are enlarged, hes been diabetic for 8 years. My vet thinks I should put him down. Hes not wanting to eat anymore, but I forced some food on him this morning. Iam just not ready to put another animal down yet.
Squirrellygiry, I know Clancy realy enjoys those walks with you. Give him a pet for me.
Hey Dave!
Titus, it was great chating at you this morning. Thanks for the vent, have a great weekend. Smoochies

Hey y'all, I haven't been here for a few days because a friend of mine had our hard drive wiping out all our old files and re-installing everything. It had such a bad viral infection that it took forever to do anything; now it'll fly. Glad to see you back Cody; sorry about Tucker but, thank God, you've got these other great animals in your life. We were finally able, after many attempts, to trap the opposum that had been eating our feral cats' food. I took him to a public park about five miles from the house; there is a small stream there, baseball and football fields, ten or so acres of woods, and some nearby homes so he will have a source of water, food and a place to hide. He's going to miss that easy meal (that sucker looked like he 'bout doubled in size in a month) but I'm sure he'll survive. Ya'll want hear from me for a few days; Sunday morning, Shirley and I are driving to Cincinnati to visit her sister. Her other sister is coming down from Michigan so it's going to be a mini-reunion. Hopefully we won't run into any bad weather. You're right Squirrelly, Survivor was good; Eric was a dummy for not using his immunity idol after Russell used his. They practically told him they were gunning for him and if he had used his idol, Jaison would have been the one leaving. I've got to go, ya'll; I'm going to take this goofy dog up to that park for a walk. I'll drop back in before we leave.

Hey ya'll, I just had a long posting triggered; why, I don't know. I'll try it again. Cody, good to hear from you; sorry about Tucker but Buddy is a sweetheart. Squirrelly, Survivor was good; Eric was a dummy. Hopefully Russell is next; I'm tired of him talking about how stupid everyone else is. They usually have eye candy for both sexes. We trapped that possum that was eating cats' food; took him to a public park about 5 miles away that should provide him with a supply of water, food and shelter. We're leaving Sunday for Cinncinatti; be back thursday. Going to see Shirley's sisters. Pray for no snow. I'm thinking and praying about you Kesch; keep in mind that you will see your pets again, at a time and place where there will be no pain or hunger. Gotta go; I'm gonna take this crazy dog for a walk at the possum's park.

Good morning burrowmates!
It's a beautiful Saturday here in the 'Burgh and I'm trapped like a rat at work from 8 - 5:30. I had to get up at 6am to run before work because I knew I'd be too tired to run after work(and it would be dark.)
Kescha, I'll keep my paws crossed for your Bear.
Dave, that must have been tough trapping an opposum. Have fun on your trip to Cincinatti. I don't think they're calling for any bad weather up north here for awhile. I'm still rooting for Shambo of the Survivor women, of the guys my favorites now are Dave, Jaison, and John. Russell is fun to watch, even though I don't care for the way he thinks most of the others are stupid. I think he's going to get what's coming to him next week, unless he wins immunity.
Going to visit Clancy again tomorrow, should be a nice day.

cody, it's sad about Tucker, but you're right, he was well loved while you had him. Buddy is a cutie too.
squirrellygirly, it's still kinda warm here. It has been nice enough for me to open up my windows during the day when I'm home. I usually open them when I get home from work as well.
howdy shocat, I'm still sending big hugs your way for you and Casey.
dave, be safe on your trip and have a great time.

Titus, how about them Steelers last night? It was a great game, but I couldn't stay up and watch it all, way past my bedtime.
I took Clancy out to the park on Sunday, it was such a beautiful day. He had a little trouble getting out of my car, but he had a good time. He managed to find the only mud puddle in the park and wallow in it.
I am so glad I have tomorrow off for Veteran's day... I really need the break!

Good evening burrowmates. Squirrellygirly, I did watch that stealers game. The kittnes were not ready for bed, lol. It was a great game. I bet that was awesome seeing them in person. Thats so funny about Clancy finding mud puddles, Stormy used to do that. I say let them enjoy it, lifes too short to fuss over it, lol.
Shocat, keeping Casy in my prayers. My Bear baby is hanging in there, and is doing better. Hes eating again, not as much as he did, but its still a good thing. Knock on wood.
Titus, I always enjoy chatting with you sis. You make my day! Khaos is going to be a big boy! Karmas just a cutie, they are doing great. Kescha has taken them in, and licks them and plays with them. Now if I could only get Monkey(Keiko) to come around. Hugs
Paw waves Cody!
Dave I hope your enjoying your trip!

squirrellygirly, I loved the game. My boy Troy pulled off another intercep. whoo-hoo. I just love him. I DVR it because I know I'm not going to make it through the whole game on a Monday night. GO STEELERS!
Hi cody
kescha, I'm sure your Monkey will eventually come around. She's probably intimidated by all the activity.
You all have a wonderful day.

Good morning burrowmates!
I'm getting ready to leave for the Richmond Marathon (which is tomorrow morning.) Wish me luck! This will be my last race of the year.
Titus and Kescha yes it was a great game, I wish now I'd have stayed up to watch it but my bedtime is 10 pm most nights.
Survivor was great last night! I'm really impressed by how hard Russel is playing. When he walked up with the 2nd immunity idol the Galu tribe just sat there looking stunned... priceless!
Have a good weekend everyone!
