cordee, thank you for the kind words. I alway look forward to reading your posts. I tried to put my back to the other burrowmates this morning but was too slow....got a face full of sand. Oh, well, shook it off and got on top of the dead tree branch. That's what family is for, right? Anyway, hugs to you too.
good afternoon hivolt65.
KittyKat, a big hello to you too.
Anyone seen Mamalur? If you do, tell her I said hello and I've missed her posts.
Good afternoon everyone! Sorry so much bad weather going around, hope no one is shut up in a frozen burrow...brrrrr
Hivolt, nice to see you back here! It seems some of our burrowmates from the good old days (yeah right, what was it Oct? ) are returning. And that's a good thing
Good Afternoon Burrowmates, hope everyone is having a fantastic Friday.
I got 9" of snow and there's still snow in the forecast, I love it as long as I don't have to drive in it. It was so beautiful this morning when I went out to feed the squirrels and birds. The sun was peeking out and made the snow glisten like diamonds. We have a hawk in the neighborhood and he was flying over looking for food when I noticed the squirrels running for cover, it reminded me so much of the meerkats.
Cordee, my German Shepherd is also scared to death of rain and thunder but I found something that has cured that problem. It's called Anxiety Relief by HomeoPet, it's all natural which is the best part about it. I ordered it from Petmeds.com, I've used it numerous times and it always calms him to the point that he is able to sleep right thru the storm. The product can be used for dogs, cats and birds and is vet approved.
Well whether your in the snow, rain or just beautiful sunshine I hope that everyone has a safe and happy Friday.
Welcome to White Wolf and Terryanne! Terry I'm from PA too, in Monroeville just east of Pittsburgh. Nice to meet another Pennsylvania kat here
Dmoo, where are the Sandhills? It sounds like you live in a great area.
Cordee and Lola it's always good to see you pop in over at MasterMeerkat's site, I love the ECMS thread! I just wish I had more time to post. Between here at AP, Master's, FKMP burrow, and QuirkieJeopardy keeps me hopping! And to think a year ago I'd never even looked at a chat room or forum!
Hey everbody, Tomorrow is GROUNDHOG'S DAY!!!! This is a BIG deal here in Western Pa. I live about 40 miles from the home of Punxystawney Phil. With the weather we've been having Phil is guaranteed to see his shadow.
Lola a pleasant good evening to you and Noodle I too am stuck in a frozen snowpacked burrow.
Hope everyone is happy that Friday has arrived and will be looking forward to a fun filled weekend. With all this snow I'd sure love to go tobogganing (sp?), but with this neck of mine I don't think it would be a good idea. Oh to be young and injury free again. Well I guess I can always dream about it even if I can't physically do it.
As usual has been a busy day. I hope you all had a good day. TGIF!!!! Have lots of homework to catch up on this weekend so it won't be very relaxing for me, but at least it will relieve some of the stress. Online courses are difficult sometimes and this semester involves so much reading. Three research papers due this semester. We got a new horse in the stable and are having trouble finding a name for her. She is a very big horse, half Percheron, which is a draft breed. She is very dark grey with a white blaze. She is also very girly. Any suggestions for names would be greatly appreciated. We can't call her "the new girl" forever. Have a great weekend!!!
Squirrellygirly, the sandhills are part of the beautiful state of NC, far enough south to stay fairly warm and green all year! I love it here, but we actually got the first real snow I've ever seen here, just a few weeks back. There was about 2 inches and it stuck around for a couple of days. The kids had fun, but I think it put my azealeas in to shock
Hope all snow covered burrows and boltholes warm up today and everyone gets some sunlight. The winter blues seem to be lurking around. At least we have some pretty good company here to help chase them away!
How is everyone? Cold and dreary here. squirrelly, It sure does take alot of time to check out ALL the burrows out there! So do Phil indeed see his shadow???
meerkata, I have a red-tailed hawk and a goshawk roaming in my neighborhood too. Mine seem more interested in the little songbirds than the squirrels. They come and sit in the tree 40 feet from my deck to check out what is at my bird feeders of course. Beautiful creatures.
Hope ya'll have a great weekend!! GO GIANTS!!! sorry lola
Hey everyone. Hope the day has been doing well. After all the rain yesterday it has been a gray, cold, and dreary day! But perfect for me to lay around on my couch, watch a few movies and chill out! I've really been enjoying it.

Good Morning Everyone. Its game day and I cant wait! I love the Patriots too, but I have to take the Giants on this one. The Patriots have won the superbowl several times. They do have a great team.
Sorry Lolababy, please dont take offense! I like to pick the underdog.

Absentfriends and Dmoo, I hear you sisters, but I love football and like to take a side, so I take the underdog to make it interesting. Hubby is for the Patriots. Lol
