Good Morning All!

Hi Spark, glad you see you in the burrow! BTW, I shared the info on the jackals with my friend, he was really interested in it, thanks!
I am glad that your car is alright. With it being winter there, what is your temperature? I'm in south Texas and it is almost 100 and dry, but humid. Texas gets a lot of rain, but we often get missed here.

Hello absentfriends, I think we could give you competition on the pothole award! Around the railroad tracks, it often looks like a minature Grand Canyon!
Yes, it is crawling up to that old century mark, 99 tomorrow. It is actually late in the year, so we had a break. It will probably get over 100 soon, we have had 112 with a heat index of 118-120 a few years back. It made national news. Yes, TOO hot, and we have humidity. AAARRRGGGHHH. 40-60? I want to move in, I'm packing the fecats as I type.
I don't mind them having staff, but they need to get jobs and hire their own. I haven't clued them in that I am staff, they are big enough messes as it is. LOL

titus, hello from across the "Little Pond", we have Florida weather, too. We have actually been in the 90's in March, so this year, we are starting late, thankfully.
Yes, these poor little fecats, I actually expect them to get up and go to the food bowl themselves. I totally refuse to bring their food to them.

Paw wave kescha. There are a lot of tornados this year. YIKES. Please, send rain! Please let us know that dmoo is OK, thanks.
Little Eowyn is not real big on the "servant" thing. Galadriel and Theoden are pretty good about it. Elrond is beyond neurotic and loves his belly rubs and giving High 5's. Gandalf is just too much of a momma's boy, but I wouldn't have it any other way. That's my boy!
I hope that everybody gets a break from the tornados. Are you feeling any better?

Good Friday morning to everyone! Have a great weekend!

I wanted to post a little laugh about pets. If it is a problem, it can just be pulled.
Mod_Kelly, I am not trying for hip slams! LOL We were just talking about pets and staff, so I thought of it:

Must be posted VERY LOW on the refrigerator door - nose height.

Dear Dogs and Cats,

The dishes with the paw print are yours and contain your food. The
other dishes are mine and contain my food. Please note, placing a paw
print in the middle of my plate and food does not stake a claim for it
becoming your food and dish, nor do I find that aesthetically pleasing
in the slightest.

The stairway was not designed by NASCAR and is not a racetrack. Beating
me to the bottom is not the object. Tripping me doesn't help because I
fall faster than you can run.

I cannot buy anything bigger than a king sized bed. I am very sorry
about this. Do not think I will continue sleeping on the couch to ensure your comfort. Dogs and cats can actually curl up in a ball when they sleep. It is not necessary to sleep perpendicular to each other
stretched out to the fullest extent possible. I also know that sticking
tails straight out and having tongues hanging out the other end to
maximize space is nothing but sarcasm.

For the last time, there is not a secret exit from the bathroom. If by
some miracle I beat you there and manage to get the door shut, it is not necessary to claw, whine, meow, and try to turn the knob or get your paw under the edge and try to pull the door open. I must exit through the same door I entered. Also, I have been using the bathroom for years -- canine or feline attendance is not required.

The proper order is kiss me, then go smell the other dog or cat's behind. I cannot stress this enough!

To pacify you, my dear pets, I have posted the following message on our
front door:

To All Non-Pet Owners Who Visit & Like to Complain About Our Pets:

1. They live here. You don't.
2. If you don't want their hair on your clothes, stay off the
furniture. (That's why they call it "fur"niture.)
3. I like my pets a lot better than I like most people.
4. To you, it's an animal. To me, he/she is an adopted son/daughter who
is short, hairy, walks on all fours and doesn't speak clearly.

Remember: In many ways, dogs and cats are better than kids because they:

1. Eat less
2. Don't ask for money all the time
3. Are easier to train
4. Normally come when called
5. Never ask to drive the car
6. Don't hang out with friends that are bad influences
7. Don't smoke or drink
8. Don't have to buy the latest fashions
9. Don't want to wear your clothes
10. Don't need a gazillion dollars for college.

And finally,

11. If they have babies, you can sell their children.

Morning Again, I just talked to Dmoo and shes fine. Her furr babies were scared, but all is ok. Shes got one like I do, that is just terrified of storms.

Cordee, I hope you check in, and everything is good where your at. I just get the message on the phone. Love you sis

Nightweaver, cute post! I know Cordee will enjoy it too. I realy like this part:

Well said! I'am still having headaches, but they are much better then they were. Hope you have a good day sister. Hugs.

Mornin' y'all,
Squirrelly & Imas, Ozzie was arrogant, Jason was naive, but Eric was just plain DUMB! It seems like the guys will never learn.

Hey kesch, hope your headaches go away altogether.

Flotosbea, That was a great post about your pets. We've got a geriatric Jack Russell terrier, Kinzi, and a Jack Russell puppy, Valentine. We had a Ragdoll cat, Pyewacket, who was killed by a couple of stray dogs several months ago. God, we miss her something awful. Whew!

Shirley is on her way back from FL. Anxious to see her.

This is the first day I've had off since April 25th and long coming!

We got a little rain last night, but not nearly as much a hoped for. Storms are expected for Sunday; hate to see Mother's Day messed up, but we'll take it.

I've got alot of stuff to do today, I'll try to get back later.

Hi, everybody!! Good afternoon.

Dmoo, so glad you are ok. When I saw the news a little while ago, it scared me. Hope to hear from you soon. Give the fur babies a pet from me, please. Poor babies.

Kesch, glad you are ok, too. Thank you for letting us know that Dmoo is ok. You all have had a real time of it with the weather this past year with all the snow and now all these terrible storms. I hope there are no more bad storms especially tornadoes out your way. Hope Stormy girl is ok, too.

Spark, glad your car is fixed, have a safe trip to Secunda.

Absentfriends, your Chi cocoon sounds pretty cute, too. My little Sophie likes to lay in my lap with the fleece throw over her, she would sleep all night that way, I believe. lol

Titus, where did you get your book?? Hope the heat and humidity lets up for you.

Flotosbea, loved your post! FUR-niture!!! That's great.Smile

Dave and Squirrelly, reading your all's posts about Survivor makes me want to watch. What did the dumb guy do, my curiosity is killing me!!

Missing you, Melba!!
Sho, Jereg, Imas, Codyferret, Hildy, Korkie, Meerkat053, everybody(my brain is oatmeal so if I missed anyone, it's certainly not on purpose...I love everybody here)hugs and have a great Friday and an even better weekend!!!

Hey cordee, got the book at Books A Million. It was available to the public on May 6th online so I took a chance and called the bookstore to see if they had it in stock. I was in luck. Have a nice weekend.

GOOD AFTERNOON BURROWMATES!

Sorry all, didn't mean to give anyone a scare! The storms rolled past me pretty quick really late last night, but stalled up to the north of me. I haven't even seen anything on the news!! My poor old shepard is really terrified of the storms, but he settled down pretty quick cuz the storms were here and gone.

It sure has been a stormy spring so far for alot of us, but I'm not going to complain. Like dsflowerga, we need the rain. Hope it doesn't mess up Mother's Day for anyone Frown

Titus, isn't that book just wonderful! Just the pictures alone make it precious to me.

Flotosbea, I love the pet rules too! We operate on the theory here that anything on the floor belongs to the pitbull; anything that looks like it belongs to him belongs to the pitbull; if he thinks he wants anything, it belongs to the pitbull...and everything else is the chi wa wa's!

Spark, good to hear from you and very glad the car is up and running.

Cordee, the pups say Hi Auntie Cordee and send lots of wet nose smoochies!

Absentfriends, my chi also lays on the back of the couch and builds nests in the bed. I've never had a dog that burrows like he does. It's pretty funny some of the ways I find him with all the sheets and bedspread piled on top of him, happy as a meerkat in a burrow! Big Grin

Melba, miss you and thinking of you sister ♥♥♥♥♥

Kescha, I can only quote one of my hero's, Tina Turner: You're simply the best, you're better than all the rest....! Thank you so much, sister ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

Evening, meerfriends. I just came in from watching a beautiful little juvenile raccoon eating out of my cat food dish on the back porch. I've finally gotten him to where he doesn't run away when I'm out there. I so wish I could pet him (but I know I can't do that). I really envy those of you who live more out in the country - it would be wonderful to be surrounded by wildlife.

Hello everyone!

A friend sent me the pet rules and they cracked me up.

I am glad to hear dmoo is fine, thanks kescha! Glad your headaches are easing up!

Hi titus!

dsflowerofga, stray dogs GGGRRRRRRR!!!!! We had one here that an officer finally had to shoot it got so bad. They are all over and the city does absolutely nothing. GGGRRRRRR! I am so sorry about your cat, nuzzles. I have never heard of a Ragdoll cat, what kind are they, please? Your dogs sound so cool, terriers are so smart and energetic.

Hello cordee. I feel so bad for pets that get terrified during storms. My friend has a dog that won't eat for quite some time he gets so shook up.

imas, how are you?

dmoo, there you are! I hope all of the furbabies are OK out there. We need to add that theory to the Pet Rules...good one!

Hi Noodlenoo and shocat22!

lindsey, how great about the little racoon!

jereg, how are you?

How's it going DD?

WHEW!!! The burrow is busy tonight. If I have overlooked anyone, I am sorry.

Everyone have a great weekend and hugs to the furbabies!

Ditto. No fooling. I couldn't belive that Eric gave up his necklace when he KNEW the girls wanted him gone. Natalie must've done a good job persuading him to get him to do something that dumb.

Anyway, good morning all!

few weeks ago, my friends Sally and Kelsey and I came up with wacky sentences. I have this magnetic words/phrases, and each of us stuck them to a cookie sheet. The goal? Have the wackiest sentence. So, to cheer up anyone who's sad, or just to put a smile on your faces, here they are! (vote for your favorite)

Sentence #1: Once Upon a Time, on a sunny day, the dog in the clouds came to my house and played with a bug.
Sentence #2: Over the Mountain, the big dinosaur sometimes will plant a garden while the ocean tells me a joke.
Sentence #3: The old king reads a book unless the pig dreams very far away after dark.

Happy Saturday burrowmates!

I tried to post last night, but the Evil Log In Mob war danced like crazy and chased me away. Drat them!!!!!

Spark,
Pittsburgh was once called "The pothole capital of the world." Stores even sold T-shirts with this claim to fame! Our cold winters and hot summers is murder on concrete.

Titus,
So glad you finally got the book..... isn't it great!

Nightweaver,
I loved your pet rules post! Awesome.
I'm a huge Lord of the Rings fan, so I love the names of your pets Smile

Good morning in the burrow!!!

Hi Noodlenoo! How are you today? Sentence #2 is my favorite. It was hard to choose a favorite, they are all great! Thanks.

squirrelly, that ELIM is in cahoots with Tinkerbell. Once we get past the ELIM, Tinkerbell zaps the posts to Never Never Land. How dare them pronker at you! I enjoyed the Pet Rules when a friend sent it to me, obviously because I have 5 cats. It still makes me laugh, NASCAR...I have had a few races here. But the babies are good, they keep it under control. I love LOTR, I love anything Tolkien. Have you read the Silmarillion? It has so much before LOTR and I enjoyed LOTR even more after reading it. Unfinished Tales is fabulous.

Wishing everyone a wonderful day!
