Welcome to the burrow Mmeerkatlvur, its nice to have you here! There are alot of nice kats here, so feel free to post anywhere.

Cordee, thanks, I love you too! Reality bites and I have to try to laugh at it. Lol

Hildy, I did not mean that in a nasty way. All of my dogs are dog aggresive. Stormys the worst. This is their house and their yard, and they dont take kindly to strange dogs. Or any other animals. Just a fact. Dillenger still trys to play a bit, but he goes for the neck even playing.

Hi Kescha, just wanted to drop in and say hi. I saw a very good movie today, "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" with Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett. It was three hours long, but the time went by so swiftly. I cried at the end, but I won't give anything away.

Tonight, it's comfort food night, spaghetti and meatballs. Gotta run now and make those meatballs. Take care Kescha!

Hi Kescha. It's another sad night in the burrow. December has been so hard on our sisters. I will pray next year will bring better.

Josnaj, I've seen that movie advertised. It seems interesting, but I will wait for the video. I haven't been to a movie theater in 20 years. I'm not sure why, we just never go.

If I eat all that comfort food, I sure will have to diet come 2009. It sounds so good though.

Hi mmeerkatlvr123. Welcome to the burrow. We are all different ages here. Mostly female. But everyone is welcome. We love our pups. There are some threads here that are visited mostly by younger people. Stop by anywhere and introduce yourself.

MMeerkatlvr, welcome & age never matters with alot of us who refuse to think about acting our ages. Without the pups, where is all the great new music going to come from? But I'm with you KOKL, it has been years since I've gone to a theater other than stage productions or concerts. Volume & price too high & people talking throughout the movie has spoiled it for me. Now if there were still drive-ins, I might think about it...

So Benjamin Button was good Josnaj? I'll have to do a library check out on that one. I'm way behind on movies...

Hi Kescha Big Grin

Hey Josnaj, sorry, I didnt mean to ignore you earlier. I have a bad headache today and its just hanging on. I would love to see the movie "The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button". I will have to rent it and watch in myself. I dont think my DM will watch it, lol. I love meatballs! Yummo. Thanks for stoping by to say hi!

Meergato, Im with you on movie theaters. Its hard to enjoy a movie with alot of back ground noise. Now when I go to a concert I expect that. Lol. Sounds like your having a great time on vacation. Big Grin

Paw waves everyone. Almost time for the dark, yeah. Lol, I sound like a vampire. Just wana rest my head.

Kescha, those headaches sound like a you-know-what. I hope you feel better soon.

I forgot to mention that we had an earthquake in our area several days ago, measuring 3.4 on the Richter scale. I heard a loud boom around midnight, and then the whole house shook. I watched the news the following day, and I guess they are not too uncommon in Southern PA, but mercifully we just get the small ones. It was felt as far south as Baltimore, I guess.

I saw an excellent movie today, "Slumdog Millionaire." It is set in India, where a young man plays the Indian version of "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?" The movie travels through his life, showing how he is able to answer the questions even though he had very little education. The movie was engrossing, riveting and the best movie I have seen in a long time. It got the best reviews and ratings for a movie that I have seen in a long time, too.

Well, Kescha, get your rest and kick those headaches up and down the street! Hope to hear from you soon!

Happy New Year Kescha and all who post here!!! I hope for everyone that it will be a grandslam of a New Year.

We are spending a quiet evening at home, and some friends are visiting us tomorrow. It is just too risky to go out with all those drunk drivers you know. With everything that is going on in the economy and world events, I just hope 2009 takes a turn for the better.

So I raise a toast to everyone for health, happiness and good fortune!!!

Snow and very cold here. I hate snowbrushes and boots. Yech. Its just DM, me and the cats tonight. Our partying days are long over. Tomorrow we will celebrate Christmas with the kids now that we are all well again. A nice way to start the year.

Blessings to all.

Well Kescha, I saw another movie today, Marley and Me, and what a disappointment it was. It should have been called "Me," because the movie was mostly about the author, John Grogan. I would say 70% of the movie was about John and 30% was about Marley. As one critic put it, the focus of the film was really about "a man's trajectory through adulthood." I really looooved the book, but the movie captured only a few highlights where Marley was concerned. Grrrr. But I did tear up in the end. Also, it was directed poorly and was kinda dull. Grrrr.

Hope your New Year kicked off to a good start. See ya later. Smile

Hi Josnaj, I read the book Marly and Me, the movie doesnt sound too good huh? Too bad they couldnt have made it more like the book. Thanks for the review! I finaly saw The Dark Knight, awesome movie! Its a long movie, but well worth watching. My new year started off pretty good with some suprise company. I will have to post on that later. Paw hugs!

Hey ya Dave! Nice seeing ya here! Smile

Josanj, had to go take care of some business. My cousin Dianna and her Daughter Teresa stopped by yesterday, Teresa just had a baby girl about a month ago, she named her Dianna LeeAnn, after her momma and my sister that passed away. Shes a beauty too! Got the biggest brown eyes and a head full of dark hair! Thats so neat that Teresa named her after my sister, LeeAnn! LeeAnn used to babysit Teresa. I had sent Teresa some stuff, but this is the first time I got to see the baby! So that was realy nice! OH Terea is 22 and married. Dianna is two years older then me, one of my favoite cousins, they live in Mankato ks. So that was a great way to start the new year! Big Grin

Kescha, that was wonderful that Teresa named her baby after your sister, LeeAnn. She must have had fond memories of her. What a way to honor her memory. What can I say about babies? They turn me into a big gibbering pile of goo. Each one gives hope to this crazy world.

Eeek, we are supposed to get some wintery weather tomorrow, hope it is not too bad. Paw waves to all who drop in!

Hi Kescha. I've missed everybody here but I have been working too hard again. At night I've been exhausted and decided just to hide in the hole and recoup.

Its been cold and icy here for days. I don't even want to go out to work, but we have these habits we've developed over the years, like eating and having a roof over our heads. So, I guess I'll just stay depressed until I see a robin.

Oh, babies. They are so cute, but they scare the bejeebers out of me. They are so small and delicate. I have no idea how I raised kids, especially with 3 lb twins. I must have been a different person way back then.

Slippery paw waves to you all.

Kescha, where you be? I felt dismal last night, mostly because of all the weight I have gained over the holidays. A staggering five pounds. I think it all went to my "girls."(And I really don't need it there) I tallied the food that I ate: two pounds of fudge, a box of truffles, two bags of chocolate cherries, a box of mocha caramels, not to mention all the rich and hearty holiday meals. Oh woe is me!

KOKL, I hear you about the crappy weather. It is definitely getting to me, too. And we are suppose to get some snow tomorrow Mad. But it is only a few months before we see your Robin.

I'm hefting stiff and chilly paw waves to everyone!

Hey ya Dave, Titus and Krazolkatlady! KOKL, babies are anything but delicate, but I here you, never cared for anyones till I had mine. Lol, I dont how you did it with twins. Kudos lady! Sorry to hear about your weather.

Josnaj, I had to have a sleep study done. If your not depressed when you go in, you sure are by the time you get out. They kept me for a night and all the next day too! Thats funny about your girls not needing the weight, I hear you sister! Keep your chin up, its a new year and theres plenty of time to get rid of it! I ate alot of choc too, its my weakness. I guess I have been feeling dismal too. Thats a good way to put it. I wont get any test results for two weeks. Isnt that crazy? Freaking drs take their time. Lol

Paw waves everyone!

Kescha, a sleep study? I'm assuming that you underwent a study for those headaches(correct me if I'm wrong)? Well, I'll pray that those doctors don't find anything serious. You're a valued member of this forum, and to your friends, of course, and we want you to be in the best of health.

Hi Kescha. I bet you are glad the test is over. I hate tests and procedures. Everything moves so slow. But its all worth it if the doctors are able to help you feel better.

Another sad day, for the loss of sweet Tabitha. My condolences to her family.

Josnaj, thanks for the tuna recipes. As usual, you have outdone yourself. I hope your new year is off to a good start. Only 5lbs? If I had eaten all that really good stuff I would have gained 105. As it was I lost about 10lbs over the season, but I was too sick to eat much. Now if I could figure out how to do that when I am well, I could get rid of the other 100 lbs I need to lose.

Good wishes for one and all. Stay warm and safe. We are getting snowed in.

Hi Kescha, hope you're recovering from all the testing. I'm not much into the poking & prodding thing. Gotta do a treadmill test on Wed. They never get all those electrode patches off & always find a stray one later. The last test I had a very elderly man ask me to take his test too. Should see if I can play my Mindefect cd during the test....I've got the concert video playing right now (well, stop & play with the library burrow grand connections Roll Eyes ).

KOKL, I hope the bad weather goes away soon. I think it's definitely time for spring & having a critters make an appearance.

Josnaj, hang in there. I always get the winter blues when I return from sunny CA. I am probably living in the worst place for me - I start dragging with every cloudy day & only have abundant energy when the sun shows up. Have always been like this. My brother got me going on drinking green tea with meals & it has seemed to help a bit with the weight. We shall see if this shows promise.

All paws waving at all!

Hi Meergato! I feel for you on that treadmill test. My mom had to do one of those. Your right about the stray patches, I found a couple stuck on me later, in the shower. LOL. I have been drinking green tea too. Guess we will both see. Wink

Krazolkatlady, sorry to hear about the snow! We have been pretty nice here. Iam affraid our summers gonna really cook us good. Thinking of you lady.

Josnaj, I dont know about being a valued member of this forum, but I have made a alot of friends here, and I consider you one of them. You always reply and give your support.

Well Kescha, I am glad you consider me to be one of your friends. I now feel I am part of the "cool chicks" crowd. Now we can swap Hello Kitty trading cards! Big Grin And I certainly do hope I offer my support as much as I can.

With all the negativity in this world, this forum is a wonderful place to come to. I've encountered quite a few interesting and fun people and have learned alot from our residential Meerkat scholars over at the Spoilers Burrow. Everyone has something to contribute, and all have a boundless love for Meerkats and animals in common. (Sigh) None of my other friends are interested in the meers. I tried to get my sister to watch the show, but she saw the one from Season 3 in which Kinkaju ate Mozart's pups and vowed never to watch the show again(she can't stand to see animals suffer). Anyways, I will be sad when this is all over, but I'm pretty sure there will be a Season 5.

So, batten down the hatches, ladies, this week is supposed to be a really cold one! Stay safe and try to stay warm.

Hey Josnaj, I love your sense of humor! Meerkat kitty trading cards! Now if someone made them, they would make some money! I dont know about the cool part, but its just a sister thing. Big Grin Us ladies understand each other, if you know what I mean. I hear you on the negativity in the world. I try to stay positive, and your right, everyone does have something to contribute. I also understand you on no one understanding your love for meerkats. My hubby quit watching the show after Mozart did that, and my son was done after Flower died. I dont know anyone around here either that loves meerkats. Its nice to come here and talk to people who do. Iam keeping my paws crossed for a season five too! Your right, it is getting colder here too. We are in a high wind advisory, and Iam working on a doozy of a headache again. We might even get some snow on this round. Hugs to you lady, stay warm!

Paw waves everyone, and I hope everyone stays warm too, and has a good day! Wink

Hey Kescha. I hope that headache goes away. It's got to be the goofy weather.

Josnaj, I hope you're doing well.

Meerkat trading cards is a great idea. Someone should look into merchandising those. I smell money.

Janelle, 88 is obscene. We are expecting 0 and below, not even talking wind chills. I'd be happy to send you some snow. If you send a truck, we will fill it up for you.

Meergato, I always seem to be getting an ekg, so I know all about those patches. Why do they always leave that residue? Like you need Googone to get it off.

Stay dry and warm if you can. It's going to be a challenge here.

christopher9691-Wow, 88! Too hot!!!

kescha-I hope the results of the sleep study provide some answers to your headaches. It sounds like they can use sleep studies to look at a lot of things.

RadioStar, its nice to see you! I hope things are going good for you. I hope the sleep study shows something. You know how drs are though, charge an arm and leg, and take their sweet time about it. Lol

Meergato, let us know how you do on your test. I hope your ok weather wise. It looks like alot of people are in the deep freeze, so stay safe and dry if you can.

Krazolkatlady, I know its going to be freezing where your at. Maybe we need Janelle to give us all a thaw out? This has been a roller coaster winter for weather. Stay warm and safe lady.

Janelle, shorts is a six letter word! Hahaha! I do wish you guys could get some rain though. I cant imagaine those temps!

Hildy, I had a busy day yesterday, the pup had a never ending hair cut and concert last night. I will give you a call today. Smoochies!

Paw waves everyone! Stay warm, or cool in Janelle and Hildys case!
