the other day we had found out that my rat, simeon, had bled to death from a ruptured vessel in his head. it was horrible to see and i couldnt stand it .
So my mom and i went to volunteer at the shelter, like always to cheer me up. There, we fell in love with a male pitbull/ anatolin sheperd mix. He was only 1 year old and had lived his life in someones backyard. mom and i decided to check his breed again and fell in love all over. after talking it over with the family, we adopted our wonderful dog, now renamed max, yesterday. The other dogs absolutely love him and he always goes onto the couch or bed to snugggle as long as your up there. He loves unconditoinally, and is a very good dog, especially at listening to 'yes' and 'no' and 'come'. also hes great on a leash. Thanks for listening.
Darkdream, its good to see you! I'am so sorry about Simon! Glad to hear you have another dog, Max! He sounds wonderful and he will give you lots of love! Hugs and Cuddles sis!♥
Aawwww, sorry DD... I had to deal with a similar thing with my wonderful little hamster, Bob. My dog got him.... by the time we got to the vet, it was too late. =[ I know how it feels to lose a beloved rodent.... ='[

(Btw, I'm RDW. I changed meh usernam. =3)

DD, I'm glad you got a new dog... That's a nice new friend to get... especially after you've suffered some bad luck in your past. Don't worry though; one of the nice things about when you finally get to be a grown-up is that you get a lot more of a say in the things that happen around you, and you can make your own (good) luck at times... you definitely have some good karma points saved up
DDDD, so sorry to hear about Simeon but there was apparently a plan here and that was for you to rescue an animal; I am glad you followed the plan and did just that. Rescue animals make the most awesome pets. We have had many over the years and I would not trade one of them for one fancy bred pet. Good luck!
Hi Dark! I'm sorry to hear about your rat, poor thing. Well at least he's in a better place now. *sighs in sadness* Great news you adopted a doggie! I have NEVER had pets, well... only fish A pink gourami and blue gourami, I had them for 3 years! Too bad we moved and we couldn't keep them anymore, we took them to a pet shop. I miss them.... *shakes head* But they would be starving in murky waters if we had them with us now. Phew! Good thing!
No pets? I live in an apartment, and my parents say that it's too much hassle to clean after a pet. I always wanted a black kitten, but I never get one.

Juno, have you asked for one small terrarium with a small turtle in it? Remember what Steve Irwin said, "don't paint a turtle's back"?
whttailtx46.... I wanted a bunny, my cousin had a bunny but it died by a fatal spider bite. His name was Pookie, we all miss him. Every time we say his name me and my cousin have to sniff he was so lovable... But I'm going back to school and I won't have time to take good care of it.
DD, Sorry to hear about Simon! I know it's hard to lose a pet!! Been there, done that with my ferrets over the last 18 years. BTW, most were adopted as well. It's great for Max that you rescued him. May you have many years with all your pets!!
Sqeak, that was a very good idea about a hams- ter but a "teddy bear" hamster. They are great fun, easy to take care of, not expensive and not messy. Squeak, did you have one of those yellow balls you could put him in so he could roll around and get plenty of excerise?

Yeah, I did. :3 He loved it.
He was one-in-a-million; he was a happy little guy. He never bit me once. I miss him so much.
