What inspired you to join? What are you like? If you had a meerkat wish, what would it be? Well!

I was looking at the website and I found this place, nothing really inspired me. I like seals, dragons and bats. I also like to write stories. If I had a meerkat wish, it would be... to bring Flower back.

What about you guys? (Note:You don't have to be new to post here.)

I joined because I needed to talk with other people that were addicted to MM as I was. I needed to talk with others about our losses this past season.

I am 53. My real name is Caroline and I live in a small town outside of Knox.,TN. I like to read, listen to music, watch TV, do yoga (haven't quiet got the hang out of it yet). And I absolutely love talking here with everyone.

It has made the biggest difference in my life meeting everyone here. I credit Flower's death with helping me join the human race again. I have kinda been anti-social for two or three years.

My wish would be that I could bring back all of our MKs that we have lost.

I'm BACK!
I'm a computer retard who doesn't know what cookies are. I'm 14 and got a 4.0 on my last report card. I like to read, watch TV, get online, pokemon, Animorphs, fishing, camping, pizza, and country music. I'm mature and funny. Some people beleive that I'm insane, but I call it thinking differently and expressing myself. I like to be random. I'm pretty religious and don't beleive in evolution. I'm also into drama, like writing, and love art!

My real name is Maureen,I'm 49 I love heavy metal music (the music of my long gone youth)I had been reading the forum long before I joined. I decided to join when Flower passed on because there was no one else to share my sadness with and this place is great because everybody understands what you are feeling without thinking you are stupid for crying over a meerkat that is on TV. Mozart is and will always be my favorite because my life is just like hers in so many ways (again no one will judge me for making this comparison, well I hope no one will). I got to see live meerkats about three weeks ago and fell more in love with them. And as you can see sometimes I run on. Well today is Friday night and no MM, so I have to settle for The Wizard Of Oz.

Im 14, turning 15 in 5 more days. I like Huntin, fishin, NASCAR, shootin for fun, Xbox Live, flyin, and hangin with my friends and go muddin.
I was goin to go to med school, but we cant afford it, so instead im goin to the Marines to get my education. I make mostly D's and C's in school, but usually higher in history. I can be mature when I want to, but mostly im crackin people up in class. I love Heavy Metal, Southern Rock, some Country, and 1 or 2 Rap songs. Some of my favorite bands are, Slayer, Iron Maiden, Charlie Daniels Band, Steve Earle, and Lamb of God. A lot of people on here say I can write good stories, so I guess that means Im a writer too. Im a Baptist, I love my home state of Tennessee. Lived in Dandridge for most of my life, still wish I lived there. And for the meerkats, I wish that they could talk to us humans.

Dang, I really need to learn how to shut upBig Grin

Hi, my real name is Donna and I live in Ohio. I guess I'm just an old hippy earth mother, because before I had to retire for health reasons, I was on the hoity toity Arts/Crafts show circuit for 16 years. That means I did shows where the money was! LOL

I designed and made my own line of very fine detail, high end, America Girl Doll Clothes. I was also a jewelry designer working in sterling silver and natural gems stones. My favorite stone to design around is coin pearls. I do both mostly for my friends and family now. I've just start painting in water colors just for me. I always wished I had the time to do it and now I do!

My last real world job was driving a school bus. I loved driving that huge vehicle! It gave me a feeling of power and a sense that I could do anything. Then they had to put kids on the darned thing! Eek LOL That took all the fun out of it! Oh Boy did I work real hard to get my business off the ground so I could hang up my school bus keys! Wink

I am a huge Blues fan. The Britts like Eric Clapton and Led Zeppelin have always said the we Americans have no idea what a national treasure our Blues is. A blues truth is that the Blues of Muddy Waters had a baby and they named it Rock 'N' Roll!

I really enjoy writing too. So I'm thinking about writing a story about Carlos and Shakespear going on a roving trip [up there where they are now] to check out this thing the humans call music. Smile Just a hint...Uncle Yossy is now playing the mouth harp [harmonica] and jammin' with Stevie Ray Vaughan and Jimi Hendrix! HEHEHE

I joined because I was grieving intensely for Flower and I felt maybe I was way overreacting to her death until I joined here; since then, I feel so at home among fellow many Meerkat lovers with whom I can grieve, laugh and just get plain silly!
My real name is Sheryle; I'm 54, married and live in Arlington VA where I don't think my husband and I will ever really go up - we're a couple of big kids. While I love Arlington, I'm also a Hoosier at heart. I grew up in rural Indiana, and loved the countryside, but I also love the seaside and love to travel - so I've lived in a few other places - Vancouver WA, Portland OR, Los Angeles, San Diego, DC, and then finally settled here in Northern VA. As animals go, Meerkats are my first love, then Lemurs and Bats come in a very close second. I have an eclectic taste in music, liking jazz, techno, steel guitar, classical guitar, R&B and Bluegrass. I'm into Sci-Fi, Fantasy and Anime, and am a writer - tech writer for my work and children's stories/sci-fi writer as my hobby. Also do mosaics, beading and drawing.
My Meerkat wish is that Meerkats could live many places in the world so people could enjoy them everywhere!

My name is Alyse and I joined because I was so alone in my grief over Flower's death. Who knew that 2 weeks later we would see another huge loss in Mozart's death. I thought to myself "okay I am really going off the deep end with my sadness". I just couldn't stop thinking that they were truly gone from the show and from life as we know it. I felt like I lost my own cat. When I joined the forum I read all the outpouring of sentiments from so many people who love the show and I realized I was not alone nor was I strange. These Meerkats touched our lives in ways we would have never believed. I have never joined a forum like this, so their deaths have encouraged me to reach out to areas I wouldn't have normally reached out to before. For this I am grateful!

I am a 14-year-old male, live in northern CA, and am a freshman in high school. I'm pretty smart (if I do say so myself) and had a 4.0 for every semester in middle school. I just got my first quarter report card today- 4.14 GPA! Smile I play clarinet and piano. I love all animals except spiders and bees, and a few other insects/creepy-crawlies. Meerkats and cats (of any type; from house cat to tiger) are my favorite animals. i was inspired to join this site b/c after Flower's death I was really sad (predictably), and saw the link on the MM webpage of the AP website. I hung round reading stuff for a few days, and eventually joined up. I joined up especially b/c I saw all the "conspiracy theories" about Flower's death. I chose the name "youssarian_whiskers" b/c Youssarian is awesome. If I had a wish, it would be to be able to turn into any animal I wanted. If I had a meerkat wish, it would be that they could talk to us. (I wouldn't wish to bring back Flower and the other meerkats who died b/c they are at rest now.) I also love to read novels, especially about animals. My favorites are the Warriors series and Redwall series. I also enjoy writing stories, which I guess I'm ok at. I've written The Whiskers' Journal: A Meerkats POV (which I desperately have to update- I'm 2 episodes behind!), the Whiskers Air Force (which was watchchannel63s idea), and The Legend of the Seven Stars. I am planning to write a story called Battlegrounds, to which there will be several parts and possibly a prequel and sequel(s). Axle and Liz will be the main characters (there's romance in the air_______)* Wink It will be based off Ender's Game and Ender's Shadow by Orson Scott Card, and Star Wars. I am also clueless when it comes to computers and stuff like that.I talk excessively and give long explanations when all people really want is a sentence or two (just look at this post) Wink Big Grin

Hello All,

My name is Christine, you probably all knew that already! Big Grin
I live in Ventura county, north of Los Angeles, originally born here in LA, but lived on the eastcoast for 24 years, near Philly, and came back to CA 3 years ago.

I joined the forum the night that Journey's End aired. I was and am still devastated at the loss of our little sun angels. I was blindsided as I hadn't even heard of the spoiler pages and didn't really know that even this place existed. I felt so lost and alone in my grief, but found a place where I can be myself and laugh and cry with all of you and not feel abnormal in doing so.

I love most all music, from Beethoven to John Mayer...and Sheryl Crow to Natasha Beddingfield, and everything in between, used to be a huge techno and euro trash fan (NIN and the Cure) but am mellowing out in my old age I guess.

I love movies, has anyone seen the Five Peole You Meet In Heaven or What Dreams May Come, I highly suggest both, really beautifully made! I mostly read my school text right now, gonna be finished with class on 12/19, so we're almost in the homestretch!! (Human Physiology, and it's the first class I've taken in almost 10 years, since nursing school...EEP!!) I love to knit and sew, used to make jewelry, beads and tied beaded bracelets, but have stopped that lately since my hands started hurting so much. (I still knit and sew though).

I lovelovelove driving my convertible in the Malibu hills nearby...just amazing vistas of the coastal mountains and sea!

My wish would be that we could have meerkats as pets and have them in the wild all over the world (the countryside around Simi is perfect for Meerkats, desert with lots of scorpions and other bugs!), not forced imprisonment, just those that would like to live in the safety of a home, (or that can't tolerate the rugged conditions) and that they could have long long lifespans...and of course to have my darlings Mozart and Flower, Carlos, Bubble, Blossom (and Wilson) back. And to know where Shakespear, Youssie and Murray are.

Have a great morning!!
Peace Love & Meerkats

Morning all,Smile
I came to this website really to learn more about meerkats and find out what was going to happen next on MM. I really got a nice surprise to find so many people like myself who love the kats. I learnt so much about the kats.
I love animals and gardening. Anything really to do with nature.
If I had a meerkat wish, it would be, that all meerkats would live free. To live their lives without man doing any harm to them.

Hi my real name is Cody and I am a 40 year old female from NE Iowa. My husband and I have been together for 23 years and have two children; a girl who will be 11 next month and a boy who just turned 9. We also share our home with an assortment of furry and feathered animals.

I am a volunteer First Responder with the local fire department and next spring I plan to take classes to become an EMT-B.

My hobbies include quilting, sewing, crocheting and cross stitch. My favorite music is country, but I do enjoy some rock songs.

I joined about a week after watching Journey's End because I was still crying and thought I was losing my mind. Finding other people who understood what I was going through was an unbelievable relief.

My meerkat wish would be to find a mob that lived close enough to me to visit a couple of times a week.

I am 55 years old. I live with my husband, 1 dog named Boo and two cats...Sammie and Peggy. Although my posts are from Christopher9691, it is actually my husbands name minus the 9691, of course). I logged on in Sept.2007 because I was upset about Squiggy being left to the desert. I never thought I would stay on here, but everyone is so nice. Then the dreaded time a week ago that we could not log on and now I have a "1" by my name.

So, if I had a meerkat wish it would be to save all meerkats at risk. I HATE to see animals suffering and to starve or get bit makes me so sad. I would love to have had them save Carlos, Flower and of course our little Mozart...then there is Squiggy and Len and Blossom. So many have gone. It is very sad and I hope for only good things for all of them in season 4.

Sorry...I was all over the place last night....I came here because I started sobbing the monent I knew Mozart died and woke up sobbing again the next morning. I came straight here. My wish is that no animal ever be abused again and that not another creature becomes extinct because of our short sightedness..

Hi all, my name is Angie, I'm 45 (that sounds so old) and I live in a suburb outside of Chicago, IL.

I became a member 10/29/06, but I have been on the outside looking in (like Mozart) from the very beginning of MM. Finally I decided to join in when I found there were so many people here that loved the Meerkats as much as I did, and I would not be judged for my feelings about these adorable little kats.
For awhile I stayed off the boards since I was working 6 days a week, 10-12 hours a day. Then I was injured at work and decided to get back on the board and catch up with all the goings on.

I learned of the death of Flower and Mozart long before they actually aired and was heartbroken. In fact I don't think that a day has gone by that I haven't shed some tears.
Reading about their deaths was one thing but to actually watch them was like ripping my heart right out of my chest.

My Meerkat wish would be to bring back Mozart, Wilson, Flower, Carlos, Len & Squiggy (although I think Squiggy was rescued), Kinkajou, and Blossom, and to have Shakespeare and Tosca reappear in Season 4.

In the larger scheme of things my wish would be to end suffering of all animals and to bring awareness to the plight of all animals due to the emergence of mankind into the homeland of each animal. We can only blame mankind for animals that have or are about to become extinct. We need to remember they were here first and we are their keepers.

Auntie Meerkat would be Auntie Diane to my most recent niece, but my sister-in-law decided I'm more of a Meerkat than a Diane; lucky me!! In my humankat form, I'm 43, female (else-wise I suppose I'd be Uncle Meerkat!), and live in Western Massachusetts in the heart of the Berkshires. I have a 24 year old daughter, two dogs (a Rottie & a Retreiver) & three cats who are brothers and keep me laughing all the time.

I've been the Director of Marketing (or, as I prefer to think of it, "Meerkatting") for about nine years for an assisted living burrow for 125 wonderful seniorkats. Our eldest meerkat passed away last summer; he was 106, born in 1899, and has an 87 year old daughter!! I feel so fortunate to know people such as this, to hear their stories, and learn so much from them.

My former career and burrowingplace were custom jewelery design and manager of such a store in Los Altos, CA (the shop is still there) and I moved from the SF Bay Area 10 years ago to here to care for my grandkats on my motherkat's side. They're with Flower and Mozart now, and I'm a New Englander.

It still surprises me that I'm really on this end of the country. I started out in the middle, and my parentkats still burrow in Indiana, so maybe I crossed paths with
