These are everyday things that make me smile...

The first cup of coffee of the day.

Hearing my niece's voices on the phone

Waking to a "good hair day"

My kitty Lulu sitting IN the bathroom sink every day while I am getting ready for work.

The sound of purring from my kitties, I love to lay my head gently on their bellies & listen to their little motors running.

Sleeping with all 3 of my furrbabies in the bed, waking up & seeing them curled up so cute & peaceful that no matter how uncomfortable I am in my positon I don't want to move in the event that I might disturb them.

I like the first cup in the morning too. And I like sleeping in on a rainy day with my fur babies piled on my bed with me. Smile

First cup of coffee in the early morning...
Hearing my father's voice.
Koko's first morning "Hello, Helloooo" Smile
Checking in on the burrow to say "good morning"
RD (parents'dog) spinning around wanting out...
Seat warmers upon getting into the car. Smile
Low traffic at holiday
Hot dinner prepared for me nightly by mammakat
Checking back into burrow to catch up in evening
Great friends, family, and of course burrowmates!

Getting good grades on report cards.
Getting complemented.
Looking outside and seeing perfect, untouched, white snow.
Being outside on a warm day with a gentle breeze blowing.
Sitting in the shade on a hot day.
Sleeping while its raining.
Sitting on the porch at night in the summer and listening to the crickets chirp.

Awesome Thread Shadilu!!

hmmmm...

The ocean's waves crashing on a rocky beach
Meerkat pups playing together or snuggling with their mommakat
Meerkat belly's warming in the morning sunshine
A campfire burning brightly, illuminating the tall trees all round
Snuggling with my meerkittycats on a rainy afternoon
Reading the Flower-Queen of the Kalahari and then going to sleep and dreaming about being a meerkat
Long summer afternoons fading into starry summer evenings
Cups of coffee with french vanilla creamer all morning long
Walking in the park with my meerdoggie, letting her get soaking wet in the creek that runs through it

I could go on and on...

Peace Love & Meerkats

I just thought of a few more things...

The smell of the ocean (reminds me of growing up at the beach)

The sound of "Gentlemen, start your engines" at a live NASCAR race then hearing the roar of the engines.

My dad's slow southern drawl when he says "Sugar, as a father it is my job to love you, I don't have to like you, but I do"

My father & I made up a silly term that we say to each other. It is a combination of like & love. "I loke you" It makes me giggle everytime that it is said.

My three kitties, whatever they are doing, but so sweet when just waking up or patting my eyelids.

Fireflies on a warm summer's eve,

A full moon and starry, starry night.

Yes snow falling, but more so, the silence of the world it brings with it. The wonder of it all.

Watching the meerkat pups nursing and Mom cuddling them all.

Reading the MM book, yet not wanting to come to the end of it.

The burrow boards and all who post.

My special someone who really enjoys a cup of tea with me in his meerkat teacup.

Dancing(????????????) to the Nutcracker Suite.

Smiles and tears, living & loving

Another of my favorite things just happened...

Watching my meerdoggie sleep and dream...with her feet carrying her off to faraway places...and her little sleep woof...but this time with a funny twist.

She was sleeping with her head on her new baby hedgehog squeaktoy...she must have moved just right, because she caused the toy to squeak just a little...and up she jumped!! She came running over to me as if to say...mommie, that mean little baby woke me up...I was having the nicest dream, chasing little squirrels around the yard!!

Just had to share...sure brought a smile to my face and made me giggle!!

Peace Love & Meerkats
Christine, now just Angelkisses...

cats in boxes, especially ones that are too small for them to sit in, but they still try to squeeze themselves into it.

the sight of a cat claening herself. There is something about it that is so peaceful & relaxing.

Finally being able to log onto this site so that I cancommunicate with another one of my favorite things...YOU!

OK, here's some of my favorite things:

Meerkat pups;

Animals, especially baby animals;

Meerkat Manor;

Watching my ferrets sleep all twisted around each other (unfortunately, they've both passed away now, but I loved watching them);

My brother telling me I nailed the dumplings....again;

Having my whole family over for Christmas dinner;

Hearing my niece play the piano and my nephew play his electric guitar (he reminds me of Eric Clapton!);

Curling up on the sofa with my little meerdog during a snow storm and watching movies or reading a book;

Late afternoon sun streaming in the dining room window making the room literally glow;

Cuddling up under layers of blankets on a cold night;

Homemade chicken soup;

The tree in front of my house when its coated with ice (it looks like a giant crystal tree).

I'm with cordee regarding hummingbirds ~ seems any time I need a sign that everything's going to be ok, it's a hummingbird I see.

And shadilu ~ there's a word which has evolved in my family over the years... it's a combination of saying the words "peace and love" quickly, which some how now comes out "peasoup."

looking at the moon from here in Massachusetts at the same time my daughter in Illinois is looking at it; knowing we're looking at the same thing together despite there being too many miles in between us.

Spending time with the residents of the Assisted Living burrow where I've been the director of marketing for the past nine years. These seniorkats are so full of history, and love nothing more than to share it.

On a similar note, I had one of the very best things ever happen to me on Chirstmas day. I took my meerdog Abby visiting to the senior burrow (which we do frequently). She and I spent most of our time in our Alzheimer's unit, and one gentleman, who's fairly well-along in his diagnosis, and has been pretty unresponsive over the last several weeks, looked at Abby, reached out to touch her head, and actually spoke. He said, "I remember you." I absolutely melted. Turns out, according to his family, who were visiting too, he had a black dog decades ago, and so he was truly able to have a connective moment with Abby.

Cheddar cheese Combos; snackfood of the gods

planting flowers

geese honking

the way meerkat fur looks so fuzzy when the sun shines from behind the little darlings

my family; furry and otherwise

being here in the burrow with all of you

& my niece deciding my name, to her, is ~ Auntiemeerkat
