Here is a very funny one I found today. It is regarding enrichment at the OR Zoo on Thanksgiving Day for the Polar Bears and the Meerkats (video shows the Polar Bears 1st, then the Meerkats). It is so funny & cute to see them play with the Turkeys!!!

Thanks for sharing Jensmeerkat, Iam impressed with this zoo in Oregon. They are very creative! The polar bears are just georgeous, and the meerkats are a bit on the fatter side, but they sure look happy, how cute seeing them crawl in the turkeys!

That is really cute to watch! The bears and the meerkats both seemed to have so much fun with their "treats". That zoo is doing some thinking about how to stimulate their animals. They came up with some really good ideas.

I loved it too! Any suggestions for enrichment that we can suggest to our Zoos? I now Pam at FE puts worms in play balls. It would be great if we could come up with some other original ideas. Got any?

Here is another 1, I think from the same person. This is in a Zoo in Germany where the Meerkat is carrying around a 3 day old pup. Even its eyes are shut. It is sooooo tiny!!!!

For those of you who have not seen it yet, the HI Zoo got 6 Meerkats. Here is the video from Mistykealii. I think the micro-chip is interesting. Not sure why they will bring in a female when they all would fight over the last one. Hopefully it will work this time & brings some pups!!!!

Thanks Janelle & Jens for the videos Yeah, the baby moving looked a bit scary but the baby is sooooo cute! I just got my new netbook's connections working tonight & it's so nice to watch the video without the pauses & no screaming kids next to me drowning out the meerkat chatter. These videos were a wonderful way to launch it!

I think it is rather cute. A very nice exhibit, perfect for a meerkat. The microchipping is interesting as well. I am pretty happy about it and think Chico would be jealous, depending on the condition of his exhibit now of course!

I am not sure if these has been shown previously, but I think it is worth showing again. The pups are so small, so young and so very cute!
