Hi Cordee, I was hoping this wouldn't fall off. I'm also hoping some of my "regular friends" check in here to say hi often. With so many different forums to read, I don't always have to to go through them all. So, if you and the folks that befriended me here(you, attila, melbacake, keschameerkat, and hildy) when we were going through a rough week stop in, that would be GREAT ! Meerkatmike, our burrow has many, many areas to explore doesn't it? Sometimes I get a headache trying to digest all that I read. But I love it here. I found a thread today with a link to photos of a lady's trip to Fellow Earthlings in California(i think). There were the cutest pictures of the meerkats there. They even have little sofas for them to sit and sleep on. It was darling. Wouldn't it be wonderful to go to Africa to the Kalahari and visit the meerkats in person. That would be a dream come true! Ah cordee, Fellow Earthlings, it is truly awesome, I've been twice, and only because of AP did I realize I live 2 hours from there...Okay...here is the deal...if you want to visit...let me know...anyone...maybe we can do a time-share...or I'll just stay in my room and you can stay in the spare room...but you really have to visit...the first time I went was right after Meerkat Manor had their season one premier...and I go to the web, and click on adopt a meerkat;;;and find out I am so close...looking forward to my visit was so much less than the actual experience!!!! For a meerkat lover, a true once in a lifetime experience!!!

I feel similar. If anyone comes to California to visit Fellow Earthlings, I'd be glad to meet up and perhaps take you to some additional meerkat locations around So Cal. I mean seriously... Fellow Earthlings is hosting 6 adoption visits this weekend (2 each, Fri, Sat & Sun). Can it really be that those 6 people don't visit meerkat forums to keep up with meerkat fan culture? If they did, they'd see that we're meeting up on Sunday at the Living Desert, near Fellow Earthlings. Who are these people who visit F.E. but don't visit our forum? How does that logic work?

Hildy, I went to the rose parade in 1995, used to live in Riverside. Dont worry about the house, and I'am nice! I know where that is. It may be a while, but would love to come out.
Hey Folks, Just wanted to say howdy. I'm gettin' upset at some of these people that are saying "get over it already". I kind of spoke my mind on one thread. Hello Meerkat mike, I agree with you. Thats why we come to this board, and people do grieve differently. I know it still upsets me, watching the re-runs, and the videos on you-tube. Which their is some great tributes to Flower there. She was the most awesome lady and leader! I miss her. looking forward to a happier episode also. Hugs to you!

Welcome, scmeerkatfan. When I was 6/7 years old, way back when, we lived in Greenville for about 6 months and then Traveler's Rest for a year or so. I can still remember going to Paris Mountain Park to picnic and play.

Hey yall, Im back from SC. We left out at 9:30 this mornin and just got back, but amazingly we didnt run into race traffic goin through Charlotte. But my lesson went good, instructor said I was excellent on the 30 and 45 degree turns, all thanks to Flight Simulator X. But I need to work on my approach to landing stalls. Overall I did great, thats what she said. Lookin forward to solo next year.

I still haven't decided on my Halloween costume. It would be awsome to be a Hork-Bajir from the Animorphs book series, but I think I'm too short, their necks are really long, and their knees bend backwards!
