Okay ! What is going on with MM ??? I had NO idea they showed the last three episodes in one night ! WHY did they do this ? I have to say that I'm a little cheesed off here !
Anyway, I worked from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm today. I'm exhausted. Went and had Chinese for dinner. Too tired to cook and wash dishes. I'm off to watch some TV. Have a good evening and I'll catch you all tomorrow. God Bless

Been working and holidaying and trying to do a good job of both, so I am tired, but when I get that tired I can't sleep.

We had a pretty good weekend. Sunday afternoon we went to the local veterans club and had steak dinner. They furnish all the food but you have to cook your own steaks on their big grills. I just love the charcoal flavor, we have gas and its convenient but lacks that flavor. All the money goes to the veterans, so its a win-win.

Monday morning we went to the park on Lake Erie and watched boats and I cooked pancakes and sausage. I make the batter up in a jar the night before. That was nice.

And ambitious chef that I was, later that day I made baby-back ribs in a brandy barbecue sauce. Corn on the cob and cheesy potato casserole.

Now I will do salad the rest of the week. I'll still have to make something for DM, he doesn't gain weight. (Just like a man, LOL)

Good evening Meerkatmike and Titus. I'm still here too, but I keep late hours. By the time I get home from work, do dinner and clean up it's late. Meatloaf night, plain and simple.

Really hot and sticky today. When I left my office the temperature said 86, 2 blocks East it went to 90 and 2 blocks South it went all the way up to 96. The lake is North so that must have kept it down as long as you were near the lake.

Hanna's on the way. Looks like it will miss you Titus but Ike could be getting you wet again. Here we only get "remnants". Doesn't look like were getting any of Gus though.

You should cool down and get wet tomorrow, the front is headed your way. Yesterday it was a beast here but this morning I woke to rain. It rained/drizzled all day and never got above 75 but it was humid. You might even get a piece of Hanna tomorrow too.

I never had Nextel, but I did have Sprint for 5 or 6 years. Finally got tired of my phone never working unless I was home or outdoors. A couple months ago I got Verizon and I just love it. All our people at work have them and their phones always worked so I changed. Also because my employer has an account with Verizon, I get a discount on the bill. Its some kind of promotion and you get a new phone every 2 years.

Kescha I do reubens with chicken. I just don't like corned beef. Love the kraut though. Your DM probably doesn't like meatloaf because his mom hid things in it like vegetables. My meatloaf is always different depending what I chop up in La Machine to add in. I used to fool my kids.

What is "Wallyworld"? We don't have those in this area.

Without MM on TV on Friday, there's not much to watch. Settled on What Not To Wear. Guess my wardrobe can use some updating.

I'm working tomorrow then grocery shopping. Rats I hate to do that on Saturday, its so crowded.

How was cell phone shopping? It can be so confusing with all the different things out there. Some choices can be expensive too with all the options. I hope you got one you'll really like. Being one of the old people, I have a pretty simple one. I don't use it often except for long distance calls and convenience. It seems like my children and their generation always have a phone to their ear. LOL

Happy Birthday Kescha. Kescha, I think anyone who is out in the world should have a cell. They are practically a necessity, and worth their weight in gold in an emergency. Some are relatively inexpensive if you don't make a lot of calls.

Wallyworld, I never heard that before. That is funny. Here they call Walmart - Walmare, like the French and Target - Tarzjay. Coincidentally my oldest son manages a Walmart, guess he never heard that either, then again he wouldn't appreciate it. He's kind of uptight.

Holding dinner until DM gets up. Guess he's not having a good day. He only gets a few more minutes though and I eat without him. I've already got my wine poured. Pork chops stuffed with spinach, rice, mushrooms. Some more fresh corn on the cob and sliced tomatoes from the garden. I'm hungry, too bad he loses.
Oh, well I can have another glass of wine.

Sorry I missed you all yesterday. By the time I got home, my head was pounding and I needed to relax. Anyway, I have a new cell phone. Me and the DF got a family plan with AT&T and I get a discount of 20% through my union at work. So, If anyone wants to give me call....just say the word..hahaha. Well, NOW i'm trying to get the contact list from my Nextel to the AT&T phone. I may just break down and buy the SIM card reader. No software will read both phones. What a pain in the butt.

Hey Attila, good to see you! I googled Uxie and Darkrai, pretty interesting. I'am going to put their descriptions here for everyone else.

Uxie is a small, blue, fairy-like Pokémon with two blue tails that are each encrusted with a red gem.

Darkrai is a black, ghostly creature. It has a small black head with a white substance erupting from its head covering one of its bright blue eyes.

I think I like Uxie a bit better. Very creative, making your own shipping.

Hi, meerkatmike. I'm sure you are sound asleep by now. Glad you got your new cell phone. Sounds like a good deal too. Unions have a lot of good benefits for their members. DM belonged to a union for work and membership could get you discounts on eyeglasses, dental and all sorts of stores.

Tacos sounds good. I love them, but there always seems to be so much prep and then for just the two of us, we eat like 4 tacos and the rest is left for a salad. Makes me want to do Taco Bell for lunch tomorrow though. We had unstuffed peppers with the rice left from the stuffed pork chops. Unstuffed is when I get lazy and just slice and lay the peppers in the bottom of the pan and make meatballs to lay on top. Add the tomato sauce, bake and presto.

Hey Kescha, if you're ever in Northern Ohio please stop by and I'll cook for you.

Titus is right, you do a lot. I know some men cook but you clean and shop too. What a catch. LOL

Titus I do enjoy cooking. Chopping takes away a lot of stress. Now Grandma was the great cook, but Mom was the baker, not so much at cooking. I can't remember the last time I baked anything. DM is diabetic so occasionally we get ice cream or a donut. Lucky here because I just don't enjoy baking. Now Mom would make those delicious poppyseed and nut kuchens. How I miss those at holidays since she died. Even if I tried to make them, they just wouldn't come out the same. Must be the love she put in them.

Its cool here today so we're having kielbasa, sauerkraut and potatoes.

Today has NOT been my day...
It all started off well enough. I took a lawn knome to school and put it in my locker because I love those things. I call him Ben the Locker Knome. XD
But then my computer wouldn't work in Health, meaning I have to do twice the work tomarrow! *cries*
Then we got assigned an essay in my advanced English class over a boring story.
Then I tried out for the Academic Quiz Bowl team and I think I bombed my acceptance test. I tried to make up for it in World Histroy and won my team the review game, which made me feel a little better...
We had pizza for lunch, which was a big plus.
But then I found out in Creative Writing that I have ONE day to type up my three page story and all I have to work with is Notepad!
And to top it all off, I got a fever in 8th period and I still have to type that story. *sigh* Which I should probably be doing right now... ^^'
I could really use a hug...

Attila, don't you just hate when days go like that. Just remember to have more good days than bad. Exercise is one way to get rid of stress and get the bad day worked out. Running is great, but anything physical helps. Then a nice hot shower and to bed. You can get lots of hugs here.

After not being able to eat much yesterday, I had to splurge today. Homemade cheesburgers, with grilled onions and mushrooms. Chocolate pie for dessert. MMMM.

Hey, Attila. More common names are what is in right now. The Attila I knew was born in Hungary, so it would be a more common name there. I'm sure your parents thought long and hard and gave you a name they loved, so keep in mind your name will always be a connection to them. There are lots of kids too that have unusual names and get picked on because. If you become famous, you could always change it to whatever you want for publicity purposes. HA,HA.

Hi Meerkatmike. Its a swamp here and not a prayer of drying out until Tuesday. I'm supposed to be at a picnic when I leave work, but I dont know if I want to get that wet. I was kidding about floating hot dogs and drowning marshmellows for picnic fun. Then again we could always bob for apples. Teehee.

Good evening Meerkatmike. I so envy anyone who can set up a computer. I know Kescha does that too. I do alright using one, but I know it can do so much more than I know how to do.

Watching Browns/Steelers on TV. Browns not looking so good this year. Oh well.

We did go to the picnic for a while. It was wet but the rain did slow up a bit after 5 and we were able to go inside so it wasn't that bad. Except for one jerk who had too much to drink and loudly kept annoying everyone, so we left early. Hope he had a headache today.

Attila, if you know 5 people with the same name that's not too bad. Some names are just really popular. Like one year everybody in my daughter's class was named Jennifer or Christine and those names are still popular. My name is old fashioned because I was named after my mother and my grandmother, and now I'm a grandma. But I hated my name, plus my last name was very long and hard to spell and pronounce. I solved that by marrying a man with a very nice last name. LOL

Still raining, Ike just went through. He just might visit you tonight Mike.

Had lasagna, salad and garlic bread today. Needed a good hearty meal.
