Hi everyone!
It's cooling off here too Mike. There was frost on the ground this morning, and they're calling for snow flurries later this week.

My last race of the year is next Saturday: The Richmond Marathon. The DM and I are road tripping it with 2 of our friends, so it should be a fun way to close out the racing season. I'm not feeling as good as I would like, haven't gotten into a groove at all since my marathon last month. Sigh, I guess it's called getting older Big Grin

Hi everyone. Been very, very busy.

susybear, thanks for the information on Norton. I'm going to look up a few and see what I can find. If anyone has any other really good virus blockers, let me know.

It's starting to cool down a little bit here. We now have a Tropical Storm named Ida in the gulf (I'm not sure if she's a hurricane yet). She was near hurricane strenght this morning. Gotta wait and see what's going to happen with that.

Kescha, Brutal being territorial over his kitties? That's so cute.

Gotta get back to work. Sorry I didn't post to everyone, but kinda on a time line here.

Hey Mike, How you be. I have not been able to get on the internet for a while, don't know why it would not let me. Boy Howdy it is windy and cold today! I actually had a few snow flurries this afternoon, but it never touched the ground.

Hope you are doing well buddy, have a great day!

Been MIA for awhile, Just got diagnosed with pneumonia again but the super antibiotics they gave me today made a big difference. Now maybe I can get back to normal stuff & dancing again. Woo-hoo!

Hey Everyone!

Just ordered my fresh Thanksgiving Turkey from a local shop. I think the fresh ones are better because they don't emit that funky smell the next day when you are digging into leftovers. Got a 25 pounder!

Meergato, hope you feel better soon, pneumonia ain't no joke.

Titus, a tropical storm this late in the season? Hope it doesn't turn into something worse.

Kescha, many blessings upon you and your kitties, and Brutal of course.

Everyone have a good weekend!

Good morning all.

josnaj, well our tropical storm is now a cat 1. hurricane and will hit somewhere in the panhandle. I'm in the center of the state so we're just supposed to get rain off of her. We were hit last year with a late storm too. Thankfully, Nov. 30th is the end of hurricane season.

Everyone have a wonderful day.

Titus, batten down the hatches. Hope youweather the storm alright my friend. Meergato, I hope you get on the mend soon.
Weather here is nice. In the sixties. It is actually nicer than most of the summer was.
Short work week this week. Just tonight and Tuesday and I'm off the rest of the week. We are to Hartford, CT on Friday for dinner and a concert. Should be fun. Have a good night and I'll see you all tomorrow. God Bless.

Hey fellow Kats,
Not a lot going on in this part of NY. Weather is still great. Nice and warm. Too bad it can't stay this way until next April Smile
One last day of work for this week. Tomorrow I get to go to sis' house and shampoo carpets. Not a whole lot of fun but, it is cheaper than paying someone to do it and I'll be getting a pretty darned good turkey day dinner out of it. NOT a bad trade off in my book.
Have a great day and I'll see you all tomorrow.
God Bless.

Hi folks! Happy Veteran's Day.

I was pleasantly surprised yesterday when I stopped in my library and saw a Stephen King book on the New Books shelf. I didn't even know he had one coming out this year. It's called "Under the Dome." I just started it, it's good so far.

Beautiful fall day again today, about 5 gorgeous days in a row. Friday morning the DM and I are road tripping it with 2 of our friends to the Richmond Marathon. Hopefully it doesn't rain.

Hey Meerkatmike, I have been so busy. Nice weather, its been in the upper 60s, but we may have our first snow on Monday. Yuck! The kittys are thriving and growing like weeds. Kescha has taken to them so thats good. Now if Monkey (Keiko) would! I should have named her batter up, lol. Cleaning the carpet for a turkey dinner sounds like a deal to me! I always cook for thanks giving, so I can relate to that. Enjoy the rest of your week. Bless you and the DF.

Hi Squirrellygirly, I pre ordered my copy of Stephen Kings, Under The Dome. I got it today! It looks awesome, its one of his biggest books. I see a movie comming soon, lol. Your trip to the Richmond Marathon sounds awesome. I hope it doesnt rain on you either.

Paw waves everyone!

Hi all. It has finally cooled down a bit. It was 57 this morning. Whoo-hoo, I just love it! I know you all probably think I'm weird but after living here my whole life, I have just come to love cooler weather. I guess the heat has fried my brain.

Kescha, a first snow on Monday.....WOW! It's early isn't it? Take care of those kitty's.

squirrellygirly, enjoy your marathon. I hope you place well.

Snow? Snow? That beloved four letter word that we hardly get in my neck of the burrow(sigh). It is early Kescha, but I'm sure it won't stick, at least too much. I told my dad about the new Stephen King book, but he said he's through with him because his writing isn't as good as it used to be. For the Christmas holiday, I am heading up to my sister's in New England, so I'm sure I'll get my snow up there! Yippee!

Have a good and safe weekend everyone!

Hey everyone,
Well, we made it back safe and sound. It rained most of the way home. Let me tell ya', the traffic in downtown Hartford, CT. rivals that of NYC. I swear, bumper to bumper. Luckily we got in before rush hour. The show was great, we had awsome seats, the food was equally as great. We had mac & cheese with andouille sausage and broccoli. I usually hate the green stuff but it was real good. We got our pictures taken with Smokin' Joe after the show was over. Well, back to life in Upstate, NY. Hope you are all having a great weekend. I'll see ya' all tomorrow. Stay warm and God Bless.

Hey Meerkatmike, Iam glad you had a good time. Are you going to post a picture of you with Smokin Joe? Its misting here right now, and we have a cold front moving in. Nice weekend to stay home. Bless you and the DF.

Josnaj, Iam sure the snow wont stick yet. Too bad about your dads opinion of Stephen King. I still love his writting. I have always been a constant reader, and Iam sure I have evolved along with his writting style. One thing that is constant in our world is change. New England should be very pretty around christmas time.

Hi Meerkatmike and Everyone!

Have fun on your vacation, Meerkatmike, and what are you doing on Thanksgiving Day? My sister and family are coming down so it should be a hoot. It's supposed to rain that day, but it will be warm and toasty inside. Plus, with all that food we are serving, who cares about the rain? We are trying an experimental dish this year--curried butternut squash, and I'll let you guys know if it turns out. I'm really pumped for Thanksgiving.

It's a gorgeous day here, cool and sunny, the way I like it. Everyone have a good day!

Hi guys!

Mike, I know what you mean about CT. traffic. The DM and I used to run the Hartford Marathon years ago, but the traffic was so horrible we stopped going there and have gone to Scranton instead for the last 6 years. One year it took us 4 hours to go from the CT border to Hartford!

I'm about 3/4 of the way thru "Under the Dome." It's really good, but it's over 1,000 pages so it's taking me awhile! I think his writing is as good as ever.

Can't believe Thanksgiving is one week away! My sister, brother-in-law and their 3 kids are coming in from California. We always have dinner at my Mom's house, and everyone makes a dish. I'm in charge of the stuffing.

Plus..the leftovers are to die for..hahah. Time for this Kat to hit the shower. Have a great day my friends. I'll catch you all tomorrow. Stay safe and God Bless.

Hi everyone.

Meerkatmike, I hope you enjoy your vacation. Are you doing anything special?

squirrellygirly, good luck with the stuffing. I'll be spending the day watching football. Dinner isn't until 4 so plans are kind of hard to make because who wants to go anywhere after you eat Thanksgiving dinner Eek Not I! My dad's wife and her sister in law are in charge of the dinner so I don't have to worry.

josnaj, I hope you enjoy your family from California. I'm sure it'll be nice to see all of them.

Well, not alot going on just the usual so I'll bid farewell to you all for today. Have a good night.

Hi Titus,
Not doing anything too special for the vacation. Would like to get the apt. cleaned up a bit and maybe get some Christmas decorations up. We have a radio station here that is playing holiday music 24/7 already. Another nice day here. Not too much else to tell. Have a great weekend. I'll see you all tomorrow. God Bless.

Hey Meerkatmike, Christmas music already! Oh, Bah Humbug. I'm not too fond of the Christmas thing anymore. I believe people have forgotten what it's truly about. It's become so commercialized. Confused I have thought about putting up a few lites outside though. Still contemplating on that one.

Have a great weekend and enjoy your vacation.

Hi all! Got back Friday from a vacation on the North Carolina Outer Banks...we went down on Wednesday, November 11...just in time to meet the Nor'easter that was the leftovers from Hurricane Ida. The first few days were pretty nasty...high winds and lots of horizontal rain. Some places south of us had a lot more damage...at least two cottages were swept into the sea...and the road south was flooded and torn up. We were lucky...although the hotel lost power, it was during the day and only for about 5 hours. Overall, the weather during our stay was okay...not a lot of sun but once the storm passed, it only rained one day. When we got home on Friday, there were leaves galore waiting for us. I spent most of yesterday and today getting them up. My back is telling me I overdid it a little! Tomorrow it's back to work.

Titus and Mike...there is a radio station here in No. Va. that has begun playing Christmas music all day too. It's a little bit early for my taste! Haven't even eaten the Thanksgiving turkey yet! Wonder if the Valentine's candy will show up on New Year's Day? LOL!

Hope everyone is doing well.

Hi everyone,
Titus, I feel the same as you do about Christmas. Too commercialized for me. That isn't what it is about. Maybe I'm wrong but, I thought it was a birthday celebration above all.
Susy, glad you are back. Glad you had a safe trip.
Not a lot going on here. Weather is getting cooler. I'm on vacation this week so...who cares...hahaha.
Have a great night and I'll see you all tomorrow. God Bless.
