My Name is Max melrose. I live in south Florida and am a big fan of Animal Planet. After Steve Irwin's unfortunate and untimely death, I started thinking about what it takes to air the quality of the programs featured on Animal Planet. Up Close and Dangerous gives me a greater appreciation for the men and women who risk their lives to get that perfect or most exciting shot, to take us out of the living room and into their workplace, where their living is made risking their lives for our education and enjoyment. And they're getting us closer than we've ever seen, compared with the wildlife shows of 20 years ago. Their challenges are greater and the risks much more common, because we as the audience demand more. My admiration and respect for today's wildlife cameraman and show host is great. Thank you for risking your lives for our enjoyment and education!
