I just watched an episode of Bringing Home Baby, the baby's name was Isabella. I'm not sure what the parent's names were. The announcer kept talking about how they were well educated, intelligent and had wonderful jobs. That's wonderful but why are they not using that intelligence? In the episode they had a cat which they let stay in their home. I have heard so many horror stories of cats jumping up on a baby's face a suffocating it to death. I have even had some personal experience with this. When my now 15 year old niece went on a visit with my family to see my cousin when she was around 3 my cousin had a live-in cat. While the cat was very sweet it was also very protective of it's space and not used to children. Luckily the first night I woke up to see the cat about to pounce on my niece(she was sleeping on the floor). Maybe these parent's haven't heard any stories like this but hopefully they will read this and take the steps to protect their child. I am a huge animal lover and a mother of two boys ages 6 and 4 months. As much as I love animals, my children's safety obviously comes first. No matter how much I may love an animal that I own, if it poses a danger to my child, it would either be put outside or given away. I am begging all parent's who read this, please don't leave your children in a home with a cat...it IS dangerous!!
