Straightening your hair will do no good in the long run. I have naturally curly hair also and trying to staighten it will damage your hair. I was unhappy with my curls at first also but when i started straightening my hair i damaged it and it takes a VERY long time to repair it mine is just now getting back to it's original self after about a year. So this is reply try to be happy with what God gave you becuase people who have strait hair always think our curly hair is beautiful which after a long time thinking it wasn't it truly is. And LOTS os people pay LOTS of money to get hair like we have got!!!!!!
I too have curly hair and understand where you are coming from. I'm 20 years old, but my hair was straight for the first 10 years of my life, so it took some getting used to when it suddenly began curling. Lol. I've learned that if you let it grow out (at least to should length) the weight of it will calm it down more. I use Suave mousse and spritz in mine. It's cheap, yet effective. I've always had people tell me how lucky I am, and I used to blow them off. Now I know what they are talking about... it's soooo pretty!
I have no more curls after My Thermal Reconditioned hair in hollywood. It cost me $300.00 in LA CA, but I NEVER have a bad hair day, weather is not a factor and it's always pin straight like the movie stars. It's the best $300.00 I've ever spent on myself. I wake up, shower, and GO
Ok here is my issue. My hair is real curly. I cant keep it from getting frizzy. That is why i straighten it. My hair is healthy for the most part, does anyone have any tips on helping it from frizzing,
I've got curly hair and always have, when i was young i hated my hair because there was nothing i could do for it. Then one cheap hair saloon and a good stylist taught me how to get straight hair with out the damage. She used a hot air brush to smooth the hair, its low heat and will dry damp hair. if your hair is kinky curly this won't work, my daughter has fine kinky curly hair and it helps but doesn't get that shine. I have found on my own that a large round curling iron will also smooth the hair with out damage. I never use products on my hair before styling, but do occasionally spray hair spray or use a cream to prevent friz if its humid. I have tried procucts to use for heat styling hair and found that it damged my hair more than using nothing at all.
