sebaceous prominence IS WHAT I THINK IT MAY BE BECAUSE I WAS REALLY CONCERNED WHEN I SEEN THEM ON MY B/F. HE SAID HE'S HAD THEM EVERY SENCE HE WAS A SMALL BOY. I WAS SO WORRIED THAT WE HAD AN STD THAT I LOOKED ONLNE. WHAT I DON'T UNDERSTAND IS THAT HE HAS THEM IN THE CREASES OF HIS MOUTH ALSO???!!!

David, I'm shocked. You have never heard the term taint? Its the area between the testicles and the anus.

Perineum. I know way too much about this thanks to giving birth 3 times. Also, on a man, this is a pleasure zone (atleast for my man).

Good evening Mod_Kelly. I have heard of these bumps appearing underneath the shaft, but not in places like the anus, taint, etc.

Two friends I know were told by their doctors it was a build up, and they needed to get it out through masturbation. You should consult your doctor though, why put off sexual activity for so long just for a problem you could easily ask about?

They look like pimples and are all roughly the same size and shape. They are in a row around the margin of the head of the penis, and can be seen when the foreskin is pulled back. In some men they are hardly visible at all, and in others they are quite noticeable. They usually develop in the teens. People often worry that they are warts or an infection, and pick or squeeze them. In fact they are perfectly normal tiny glands. Leave them alone!

More than likely, those small white bumps are merely glands in the skin. Keep in mind that skin on the penis and testicles is very thin; therefore, and glands in the skin (ie, sebaceous glands) will be visible and appear as little white bumps. Many women have the same bumps on the skin surrounding their breast nipples because the skin there is extremely thin as well. The skin around the nipples is pigmented so the bumps may appear brown in color rather than white but it is essentially the same thing. Again, little white bumps on a penis - or brown bumps around a woman's nipples - is completely normal and nothing to worry about.

dont worry about it . I have had them since i can remeber . Its not a build up and u need to mastebate ( that is the stupidest thing i have actually heard tbh )

I went to two docs to check mine out and both said it was just micro-scopic hairs that have created a similar thing to " in grown hairs " . Basically your body is covered in hair whether u can see them or not and sometimes they arnt strong enough to penetrate threw the skin so they create these lil " pimple like bumps "

Thanks why loads fo people ahve them on there nipples, corner of there mouths etc etc etc etc

granted i am aware that many docs may say different things hence why i went to two . One in New Zealand and One in UK .

Its nothing to worry about man and its very very very common.

Hey I think I know what they are. I have a small amount of them. My doc just said they were hair follicles.

No big deal. You can't pop them right? I don't think you should worry.

Good luck,

-Mr. Oh!

Well it sounds like an ingrown hair to me but there are a lot of different skin conditions out there. It may also be a symptom of herpes or even hpv but I doubt it.
As usual It's best to get this tested by a doc.

hi there this might be a bit late as u started this years ago but iv had the exact same thing since i strted puberty. i went to my doctor who wasnt sure what they were but after research he found they are sebaceous glands, these are at the base of micro hairs and create oil to keep the skin lubricated. They are not normally seen but occasionally the opening of the glands become blocked however the oil is still produced creating the white hard lumps u can feel, u may find u can sqeeze them and a small amount of hard oil is released but is not recomended because they often disappear. i may look like they are not disapearing but if u were to mark where each one is u woud notice as one vanishes another appears creating the illusiion it is an illness that will not disapear.

it is very common in teenagers starting pubity and is likely to stay with u for years and years. dont worry about sex either me and my girlfriend have been having sex for years and she has just learnt to ignore them wenever she see's them. here is a good website thats explains in more detail " http://www.sexdictionary.info/sebaceousglands.html ".

i hope i helped
