I started my own workout regimen by watching Sharon Mann and Gilad workout shows. I saw dramatic results by dropping two pant sizes. everyone has been complimenting me on how I look different and that I have lost weight. My question is I weighted myself when I started and have gained 5 pounds-now I weigh 152 but I am 5'2 1/2" in height. Everyone says I do not need to lose more weight. I have noticed toning in my buttocks, thights, and arms. I am having problems losing more weight in my chest (bra area and abdominals) Is it ok to workout everyday switching between cardio, sculpting and pilates? And how can I tone or lose more of the fat in my abdominal area if I have been doing 10 minute workouts for 6 days a week?

Thanks.

you may be surprised by this but according to three different weight charts I looked at you are overweight for your height Frown. What's more, your BMI of 27.9 (or 27 is you indicate your height as 5 foot 3), either way you definately fall in the overweight range which puts you at greater risk for heart disease and obesity. A BMI between 18.5 and 25 is ideal; a BMI between 25 and 29 means you are overweight and a BMI over 30 indicates obesity). I get the sense that you are somewhat of a denial about your body.
I am in the military and our standards for weight are much more strict. For someone 62 inches tall (5 foot 2) the max you can weigh is 131 lbs. For someone 63 inches tall the max is 137.
anyway, I too am 5 feet 2 and I now weigh 110lbs but I struggled with weight issues my whole life. At one time I weighed almost 170lbs, but I didn't see myself as "fat" or overweight, until I got a wake up call.
have you had your body fat measured? you may not be happy with the results but I think getting a body fat measurement is crucial, plus it will be a better indicator of what areas you need to focus on. I think it would be good for you to look at your eating habits and develop a sound nutrition plan as well as a varied exercise routine which includes cardio, strength training and Pilates. Give yourself time. You didn't gain weight overnight and you can't expect to see results instantly either.

I just had to reply to fitmommaof2. The various weight charts that she sighted are great places to start, but they are not always the best predictor of whether or not someone is overweight. A better indicator is your body fat percentage. see http://www.healthstatus.com/calculate/bfb for a good calcuator.

According to BMI, I am a 32 and obese. According to a recent water-displacement test I am about 20% fat, which is great for a female.

I have many Workout Frustrations so I can understand how you must feel.
I have been doing alot of research on Fitness and eating right. You asked if it would be o.k. to switch from Cardio to sculpting and then go to Pilates? I am no Dr., but it is very good to switch, that way you don't get bored doing the same things over and over.
I found a great Web site that is just as good as this one except you get more out the other one as far as Eating healthy, foods, different types of food, how they can harm you and such. If you are still frustrated with your workouts, I highly recommend you to try switching your workout routine, like switching to different workouts one day and the next day do something else, and please check out this site. It has given me new thoughts about eating, drinking, and excercise. They don't want to sell you anything, they are just loaded with wonderful facts that make a lot of sense. They have different types of diets on their and how they recommend them or if they do. If you have questions they email really fast. They are just AWESOME. I love them almost as much as I love Fittv.
it's called WEIGHTLOSSFORALL.COM
All together with no spaces. I can stay on this site all day if I could, but workouts don't happen by theirselves, you know?...
Keep your chin up!!!
