For quite a while I had an amazing metabolism and reaped great benefits from it. I went to my dojo almost religiously for about 5-6 days a week from anywhere from 2 - 5 hours a day. It was great. Something I just wouldn’t change in my life. However, many things in life happened as they often and I found myself 6 years later barely going to the dojo, being fed great food by a lovely wife and working overtime to make the bills. So a bit of that has changed now. Im starting slowly find the time to get back into the things I loved but now I've gained a more "shapely" form. I had been watching a lot of the shows from Fit TV and for some reason it never clicked to start actually using it (couch potato syndrome ). I really got started after comments from my oldest (4 years of age). "Daddy, Im stronger than you because I exercise"
or the real hitter
"Daddy, are you pregnant?"
Wow ... I started Sharon Mann's 6 o’clock show a couple days after.
So the questions now:
1. When I was at the Dojo, we had little time between work and practice to get and keep a nutritional meal. So a lot of times, we would eat Wendy's or munch down on all the luxuries you local gas station could hold. Either way we saw amazing results. OK, I looked like a stickman with pea size muscles but it was amazing the shape we were in. I always hear a good nutritional diet is important but it didn’t seem to matter in my situation. I was hoping someone could elaborate on this.
2. How long before I should start seeing results? On average, I understand every body is different but Im looking for a target for goal setting.
And 3. I was once told that everyone has a magical 3 hours a day that they throw away. Do you think that’s still a fair statement for many who are there working overtime or 2 jobs or wrangling kids (love my wife ).
So I guess that’s about it - thanks for your input
So considering it has been a full 30 days since I started exercise, I thought I would post my "results" as it were. I now have my wife and my youngest exercising along side me (2 years of age). Although my "dimensions" haven’t seem to have to have changed (that I notice), I have notice a higher lever of energy. I've absolutely enjoyed Sharon Mann's shows over the others especially for the great personality and I appreciate the rotation of workouts. I can't say I've mastered the workouts that contain the "grapevine" but it’s a work in progress.
Thanks Sharon!! We look forward to your workouts everyday!!!
