I have been following Sharon Mann every morning on Fittv for 8 weeks and I have seen great changes in me. I have arthritis (rheumatiod) and feel really great after doing yoga but like the variety of different workouts. I see myself marching more than doing the work outs especially with the jumping, running,or bouncing steps. Is there an exercise that is better for arthritis? I'm not young so I have been out of shape for quite awhile but really am liking exercising now. Thanks for helping me start to shape up and live healthy.
I see you asked this question months ago, so I hope you're still around. I think Sharon Mann is way too hardcore for beginners or anyone with any kind of limitations. I have been working out for months now, am 25 years old, and I won't even follow her show, at least not right now. There are several shows on FitTV that, I feel, vary enough so that anyone can find something they can do or like. Personally, the only shows I click with at all--and not even every time--are the shows with Gilad and "All Star Workouts." With "All Star Workouts," it depends a lot on who the workouts are with. I think you would be able to do some of the people I feel are easier, such as Ellen Barrett and maybe (I think her name is) Jennifer Garibaldi. Other than that, I would say to keep the yoga up. If you have arthritis, yoga should help you get to a point where you can handle cardio better.
Thanks for the reply. I have tried some of the All Star Workouts but not many suit me. I am still working with yoga and loving it. I am also doing Sharon Mann but modified at some points. Working out to Sharon Mann has helped me be a bit more stretched to do the namaste yoga with Kate Potter. I love my mornings and I can feel the difference. I am really pleased that I have stuck with this work out program. Arthritis flares up just once in awhile but my flexabilty has really improved. Just wish I was as good as those on TV.
