I have a boy who has a very foul mouth he drps f-bombs like there is no tommorow. I have tried the following -time out -soap in his mouth -ignoring him -etc. etc. etc. Please help me he goes back to daycare at the end of august and I am scared that they will kick him out becausre of his lanuage.
You need to keep him from hearing swear words. He's not misbehaving, the adults who are old enough to know better and are using that language around him are misbehaving. Put soap in their mouths. He's just parroting as a way of learning language.
The more he hears it, the more it's going to reinforce it. So the first step is that he needs to stop hearing it.
Second, correct it like you would bad grammar. Repeat the sentence back to him using a more desirable word. He says "Oh sh**" and you repeat back "oh shoot!" It will take a while to retrain his language.
