I was thinking it might be fun to have some kind if duel tournament. I wouldn't mind setting it all up if people showed interest.

Gurl, I think you should do it like on a tennis tournament and have Junegal1 as a seeded champion, whoever wins the tournament should go against her on the finnals.

That's a great idea.
Except in a tennis tournament the number seeded player usually on gets 1 round advatage if there are an odd number of players.

It's a grate idea, I am going to be a tad busy, and out of town this Fri-Mon, but yes for sure lets do it. Think Olympic soccer style(non elimination) tournament.

I wonder if someone wins alot of Duels are they put into the Hall of Fame?

I like the idea of a non-eliminatin style, but I will have to do some research on it. Because I was thinking like a 2 or 3 loss elimination. Something where even the people that lose can have a consolation tournament.

gurltennis- that's what I meant. Perhaps it called Round Robbin.

Double elimination - If you lose a match, you play again in the losers bracket. If you lose twice, your out.

Depending how you run it, you can either have two categories of winners - main winner (lost no matches) and 2nd place (only lost to winner) and then 3d would be winner of loser bracket and 4th would be the loser to the loser bracket winner <or> main winner (lost no matches) and then the loser of the final match plays the winner of the loser bracket for the 2nd place winner.

I am kind of thinking if doing a round robin style for the first tournament and then after everyone makes it through that, move on to a single elimination with a consolation tournament if you lose in the first round.
The reason why is because a round robin is less complex for the first time.

one dive at midnight in the first duel, and I'm still hearing it. It is hard enough to get people to duel.

On target, I'll not be excepting any duels till Tuesday, so if a tournament starts before then, perhaps I can get a pass to the second round.

Tournament?? Dont know anything about that. Dont know depends on when it would start. Going to St Jo Missouri next week for the Fourth and wont be back unti around the 7th or 8th. The reason you cant get anyone to duel with you is you kick butt

Yeah, that is basically what I was thinking. Each duel should start at a certain time whether or not both players are there.

As to when we will start the tournament I am going to make up the round robin and each player can set their own date for when they want to compete.

When I said rules. I meant like each duel should last 24hrs or 72hrs. That kind of thing.
