What all does the "reset" entitle? Are my characters going to be reset? Are the sharks ive completed all the data on going blank?

Since there is only 27 days of real time information on the sharks, the game resets every 27 days.

What this means for you is the sharks reset to their original starting positions and progress through the 27 day cycle. That is the only difference. Nothing changes as far as accomplishments and score/money/divers/etc.

The caveat to the above is some players (myself included) have experienced and increase in attacks either before or after the reset (no true predictability determined as yet). Call it superstition or precaution, but some dive less or more safely during this time period.......

Sinbad,Its back to doing that error and too many connection thing again. I was playing at 10AM EST things were fine, a little slow but fine. When I signed in at 10:30 AM it gave me the error message and the HQ page says too many connections. Server must be down or somethin.

When I logged on this morning at 7:15a EST, it hung up at the login (accepted username/password but then just froze). Did it a couple times then gave up. At 7:20a I tried again and it let me in. Tried it just now and it game me the error message that I kept getting Sunday evening.

I can't believe there are that many trying to log in unless the login is through the same source that all the Discovery games are. My guess is either a Denial of Service attack at the server, or there are problems with the server that involve the login process. There also is an outside chance that the Devs are working on the game and just aren't announcing the interruption of service. I did notice after Sunday the ORI chart seemed slightly different and I briefly got the bonus before it disappeared again.

Can't say about when to dive to avoid chomps. Sometimes it's before reset, sometimes after. You could just minimize dives for a few days and watch the forums for indications that players are getting bit. If not, hit it hard.
