I find this act to be deplorable and atrocious, no matter WHO is responsible. Kat has been on a steady and continual downward spiral since leaving M I. I truly hope, for her sake, that this isn't her doing. I am NO Kat fan, but I pray that she didn't sink to those depths. I don't usually watch her show...and now I NEVER will.
So far all of the comments in this forum seem to be against Kat. I'm not here to judge nor to say who was right or wrong, but do you guys personally know all of the facts? Your simply stating your opinion of the situation based upon what was written on a website... Don't you think that before you can have a valid opinion of who was right or wrong in the situation that you needed to be apart of the "8 month long" investigation? I was unaware that all of the fans in these forums would hold such a bias them selves with out knowing all of the actual facts. You are all entitled to your own opinions and views, BUT do you think that your opinions might be swayed to one side or the other if you knew more the facts? And once you knew these facts you would then be entitled to state a bias opinion? Just a thought to ponder on.
If you are in the public eye, then expect to be held to a higher standard. If you do not wish to be scrutinized by the general population then don't expose yourself on television. Kat Von D deserves to be fired by the network and then prosecuted in court. Kat is obviously lacking common sense. If TLC has some evidence that will clear her, then let us see it. If not, TLC has a moral obligation to remove her from it's programming. Either the network is pro-bigot or anti-bigot. Everyone should email the network to let them know how they feel, here's the address: viewer_relations@discovery.com
Well Chris Garver has apparently confirmed that she gave the signed photo to him personally, but I would like to see or hear his actual comments before I decide if Kat really did that, or it was just someone playing a prank on Ami. If she did do it, then it is way over-the-top disgusting. But what's worse is that TLC swept it under the rug to protect their investment in her new show.
I agree with you cbaire, you definitely cannot believe everything you read and besides, nobody besides those directly involved will ever know the truth, in my opinion.
The difference between the Kat hate mail and these other wild internet rumors is that the Ami actually recieved the autographed picture and complained about it. So someone really did send it to him, and TLC really did try and sweep it under the rug. So this discussion does have more validity than Barak Obama marrying Britney Spears or some other such nonsense. The only question that remains is whether or not it was Kat who sent it.
Quote -"The only question that remains is whether or not it was Kat who sent it."
I think a better question is- If it WASN'T Kat who sent it, then what possible reason would TLC have to "sweep it under the rug" the way they apparently have???
If you think about it, Kat has a lot of rabid fans, anyone of which could have sent it. Could it be that the powers that be at tlc just didn't give it any serious thought for that very reason?
Consider the timeline. Ami receives photo approaches TLC gets blown off. Ami gets lawyer. Lawyer approaches TLC. Handwriting expert confirms handwriting. TLC then distributes memo for non-disclosure of issue. I would think any exec worth a grain of salt would take it seriously once a lawyer got involved.
I read Kat's blog about this, and even if she really didn't send it, her response says a lot about her. She rants about "Ami being jealous, insecure, having no work ethic", then says in all caps that their falling out was all his fault. Then she goes on to imply that not only didn't she send the signed photo, but that Ami or one of the Miami Ink crew concocted it. And then after all that she lauds herself for being someone who takes the high road. She really comes off as selfish, petty, and immature, regardless of what the truth is behind the hate mail.
I agree. I have always thought of Kat to be a selfish person. She may come off as a cool rock star kinda chick, but deep down I think she's really shallow (pun intended).
She thinks she's this perfect little creature that's never to blame. To all the Kat fans, I agree she does decent black and gray tats, but her character is quite inferior. It's a shame that she is the main focus of this show.
everyone is entitled to his or her opinion but i don't get all the kat haters continually watching her.when i dont care for a show or person i avoid them.whats up kat haters?i'm not a big miami ink fan but i don't hate on them!whats up with that?
Oh, yeah? Well, you guys are Kat-hater haters! See, name calling gets us nowhere.
And I don't think I would use your exact terminology. I don't hate Kat. I hate her attitude. That doesn't mean I don't appreciate the art that Kim, Corey, and Hannah produce.
If I may say this (not like any of you could stop me anyway), I don't speak for everyone, but I log on to this forum because this is the current tattoo show on right now. When Miami Ink returns, whoa buddy, I'll be back over on the MI side. Plus, there's not much else on on Tuesday nights execpt American Idol.
I am not arguing against Kat's "fans" to cause trouble, I do it to challenge and sharpen your argument for her defense. Admit it, she needs a good defense due to all that boozin', skate ramp buildin', Orbi lovin' she does.
So stop telling me to change the channel. My remote is always on the other side of the room. Unless you wanna bring it to me, I will watch the show, and say what I want on this forum...
Here's my conspiracy theory...they both had something to do with it.
I love Ami but one thing he is not, is a good actor. He seems to fun for the serious type of stuff, watch the episode where Kat parted company from MI...see that coming for a million miles away!!!
Here's the theory...reality TV is just not doing it for alot of people anymore and me included. I watched faithfully, each show, I know I am for both sides of the fence but it is getting tired and old so let's spice it up a little and voila...hate mail, like I said in a past post...it is the internet, what do you believe anymore.
I would only believe it when I can meet with Ami and Kat face to face and ask them what the deal is...and we know that ain't going to happen!
Hey Daisy...have you ever noticed that we have the same registered date but one years difference...trivial but interesting!
I am a troll....woohoo! I've always wanted to be a troll but just to make a point...look at my registered date and then yours Doug...who is the troll now!
I also don't wanna grow up...everyone is just to darn serious about stuff that isn't really important to us.
