Kat is so talented, and it seems like the country realized that with exception of Ami James (Miami Ink). With the exception of Chris Garver and Darren Brass, the Miami Ink guys are jerks and got rid of one of the biggest draws they had. People flew from all over the world to get a Kat tat. (Nunez is ok about 50 % of the time though). I would love to have seen the look on Ami's face when he heard about her success and new show, that is going to blow his OUT of the water. GO KAT!

I just have to say I like your comment. Don't get me wrong the Miami ink boys are extremely talented but Ami is going to be that shops downfall. He has a serious anger and ego problem that I think he needs to learn to control or overcome all together. Kat was a great asset to that shop for many reasons, being a female, being a great artist, being a sincer human being, and really loving what she does. We all make mistakes and she is young, but liek you said what is LA's gain is Miami's BIG BIG Loss!! I will be no longer watchign Miami ink and be always watching Kat and LA Ink. Way to go Kat!!!!

I completely agree with the previos comments. I like miami ink and even though I don't have any tatoos or would ever get one, I thought it was a pretty cool show and I thought the best part of the show was Kat. I was really happy and excited to see a billboard of her and her new show as I was driving down Venice the other day. I cannot wait for the show to start so that I can start watching that and supporting an L.A. girl. I think Kat is fantastic and and she certainly did not need to be treated the way that she was in Miami. Rock on Kat you deserve it!

I'm more of a dog person than a cat person.

I became addicted to the Miami show when it started and have enjoyed watching the cast's lives unfolding and all the beautiful artwork they have done. I turned off after Ami fired Cat. A little TA and innuendo can be fun but a steady diet of Ami's machismo and sexualization of women gets boring. I remember when Darrin broke his elbow and they asked Cat to fly home from Europe as a favor to cover for him. Then she was asked to come back on the show because she was so popular. I thought Ami was out of line to chastise her for not doing the work clients asked for even when it was not what she does. Most artists pick and choose their patrons and follow their muse. It was especially galling since in the very same show (as well as other shows) he refused to tatoo for the very same reason. I was also irritated when the biker informed her he just wanted a "chick" to come visit. I applauded her insistence that her status as an artist be respected. I felt Ami should have stood up for her as a fellow artist and cast member. Instead he brown nosed the biker to get a lead in on another popular show (Very Unattractive!) Ami can be fun to watch but he is not the poster child for relationship skills. I'm glad to see Cat get her own show and will watch the premier episode! I hope she continues to follow her talents and I'm glad she is willing to let us watch her while she does.

Cats are so finicky. They whine and complain a lot. And they hiss! You try to get close to one, and build a friendship, and just when you think it's ok, the cat hisses and cries and smacks you with it's tattooed paws.

Dogs, on the other hand, they are playful and fun. They come when you call them. Cats only come when they are interested in you. Dogs may get a temper from time to time, and check out other females, but at least they respect their elders and assure you of their loyalty. Dogs rule, cats drool!

I am with you all Kat was the talent on the Miami Ink show and Ami couldn't handle it. He thinks he's so much and he's nothing but a little boy. I hope Kat's new show makes him regret every second of every day for the rest of his life. I will watch her show but not his I will make sure to tell all my friends to boycott his show. GO KAT GO!!!!

wow! not a talented bone in her body? just because kat's a girl, and a pretty one at that, doesn't dismiss her obvious skills in her chosen profession. and i'm pretty sure a show that hasn't even been seen yet can't be held responsible for turning "the tattoo world into a sex symbol."

Ami is a doofis for treating Kat the way he did. I mean com'on the guy put her through the ringers about not doing certain tattoos (color mostly) but then on the VERY next show he turned away a tattoo because it was of rosary beads and "thats not his religion" so he refused to do it. There were a TON of other contradictions through the seasons that Kat was on Miami Ink along with that one. He irritates me.
Kat rocks and she was the only reason i watched Miami Ink so I'll be an LA Ink girl now. Besides it's almost all girls, that in itself rocks! GO GIRLS!

I wouldn't say Kat has no talent. She's good at portraits. That's about it, though. Even though she does the same thing over and over and over, she is very good at it!

I agree with the post about this show being a little more on the vain side. It does seem to be about Hollywood glamour and pretensious living. But, if you're into that kinda thing...

did anyone seen the kat interview with tom green online last week. She pretty much discredits the "reality" portion of the show and that it was more of a spinoff rather than her getting fired. It makes sense to make 2 shows - one geared towards men and one geared towards women... mo' money for TLC and friends.

Yeah I think Ami's ego but head with Kat. He shouldnt be jealous that she is more talented but to embrace it and make more money off her. Whats up with Yoshi? Is Ami holding him back too or what? He hasnt done much still.
