becareful to read the full post, it was a story (make-believe) that someone made and somehow it ended up on wikipedia. Bottum line is wikipedia is just a bunch of people adding stuff any time they want, somes true somes not so if someone says i saw this on wikipedia..then be cationed look into it.

Blossom sadly died from the bird of prey...No one knows what truely happened to Youssarian, he just disappeared....

flowerpower, Youssarian didn't get that scar from being dropped by a bird of prey, he got it when Zaphod re-joined the group and fought him for the dominant male position...

I'm pretty sure that I heard the story about Youssy getting the scar from fighting Zaphod here. I can't exactly remember though. I'm constantly on wikipedia trying to make most of it true, though, so I don't exactly know.

I too read that Youssarian got his scar from being dropped by a bird. This however is untrue. As has been posted elsewhere, the TCB book states that Youssarian got his scar fighting Zaphod for dominance.

Mozart2, Codyferret is indeed correct...Youssarian got his famous scar from a dominance fight with Zaphod shortly after the birth of Monkulus, Pozzo, Zarathustra, Lucky and Armantia Ditch...It's in Professor Tim Clutton-Brock's book...I think we can take prof. Tim Clutton-Brock's word on that since he is one of the main researchers and has been...Although regarding the book, there are slight typos, such as Petra is marked as dying as a pup but she is still alive. But as far as the fight scenario is concerned, i believe that Zaphod did cause the scar (i still love Zaphod to death)...

As for Shakespeare, The researcher had stated that they spotted a meerkat that fit his description outside the research area and I believe I heard that they did indeed find his body after he was bitten by a snake or something.

I'm going to lean towards Professor Tim Clutton-Brock knows...Since he has been there since the beginning...With all the confusing things out there, his word and Evi's (and Pronker's and Athena's) word can be believed as truth...since the first two are researchers and Pronker is in contact with Evi and Athena's been out there and has talked in depth with the researchers...

Shakespeare did survive the Puff Adder bite, was he bitten again? I thought he disappeared and noone really knew what happened to him? Someone said he was killed by Big Si? From what I have read Youssie was violently attacked while roving and most likely subcombed to his injuries. As for his scar I have no clue, they said that he was dropped on the show but I have come to realize that much of what we see is there for dramatic purposes and not much "reality", the story of Zaphod doing it seems more probable to me.

There is so much information out there that it is hard to know what is true and what is not. You have to consider the source. Some you can be sure is true, like the KMP website or the book. Some you can never tell. As far as your questions go, Prof Clutton-Brock in his book says that Youssarian got his scar from fighting Zaphod. It would be safe to assume that is true. As for Shakespear I am not sure if anyone really knows. He disappeared, that's what people know for sure. I did read somewhere that he was confirmed dead of a snake bite "last winter" but I don't remember where I read that, maybe Wikipedia. So that is not something I would consider true, just a thoery. Sundance, or Blossom as she was called on MM, disappeared at about 2 months old and her fate is unknown. No one saw her carried away by a bird of prey as shown in MM, but it is a common way for pups to disappear from their families, so it was depicted this way so that you would learn about that particular aspect of a pups precarious chances of growing to adulthood.

Yossarian received that scar from Zaphod in a fight over dominance and the right to mate with Flower. That is published in the Earthwatch guide and TCB's book.

Pronker

Yes, it is confirmed that a male meerkat that fit Shakespeare was seen. But I don't know for sure. Every male meerkat has to leave his family sooner or later. They soon become unnescessary.

Blossom (Sundance is her KMP name) dissappeared but I don't think it's confirmed that she was seen "carried away." However, it's common for pups to die before adulthood. Blossom was just unlucky.

Zaphod gave yossarian the scar in a fight for dominance. TCB explained that in his book. As for his whereabouts, they are purely unknown although I think I heard someone say the researchers saw him and he was injured. But I'm not 100% on that one.

As with the meerkats, we need to learn to move on. The future is everything. Yes, we can mourn the deaths of our favorites but never forget the ones still fighting out there right now. Rocket Dog is still learning and the Whiskers are a little rough right now. We need to pray for them and all of the groups as they seem to be struggling.

Read the book about Flower and you will see and read that Youssy got the scar from Zaphod because Zaphod and Youssy got into a fight for dominance earlier in Flowers reign.

Blossom is not alive. The story of her survival was fanfiction. She disappeared; no one saw what happened to her, but she most likely killed by a predator. At two months she would have no chance of surviving alone and very little chance of being adopted by another adult. This was in the book, as Pronker mentioned above.
