I must admit it has been awhile since I visited. Im saddened to see kristie isnt part of the team. I have been trying to find the Trading Spaces "How Too" pages but I guess those are gone too.
Kristie took a dining room and painted the furniture white and gave it an aged appearance. I have inherited some mismatched antique dining room furniture and want to re create that look of the aged white but dont know how. Can anyone direct me to a online source with "how too" photos, in order for me to re create this? ANY link much appreciated.
Im also sad, I never printed out Franks how to crate a itialian kitchen using a painting technique, that I fell in love with but at the time, I was renting and didnt have my own house. Trading Spaces PLEASE brinbg those pages BACK!

The only thing I can tell you was I have seen this effect by painting the furniture a black low (satin or flat ), and then white or cream over top. Then you sand off the edges, or areas that you want apppear 'distressed'. It is a fairly common thing in most 'paint techniques' books. You could try those. I have no idea what room of Kristie's you are talking about.I do wish they would 'Trade' her back on the show for Lauren Makk. Her style was a bit 'rustic', but she was good at it, and was always fun to watch. Good Luck with your furniture.
