Hey Bear. i have seen your shows a couple of times and i have to say that I am impressed at all you are willing to do. Who in their right mind would drink their own waste and eat a rotting zebra for any amount of money? i am also wondering why you hold a camera when you have a professional camera crew to do that for you. does it make it look like you are on your own like survivorman? please stop let people who actually know what they are talking about do their jobs.

Dear Bear, i really like your show. but i must say that i liked the first season much better. you really didn't show us how to survive. you didn't build any shelters or set any traps, all you did was eat things. I'm not saying that i didn't like the second season, its just not what i was hoping for when i saw the commercials for it. i am reading your book "The Kid who climbed Everest" and i like it a lot.
i hope that the third season is more like the first. well anyway keep up the good work. your much better then Survivorman
hey bear your show is awsome and i thoght id let you know you inspired me and a few of my friends to do these "adventures" ill send you our website later
Hi Bear, I am not into that whole "biggest fan" thing, but I do think that you are good at what you do. If I could I would be out every day pushing myself. I am writing to you because I would like to get some knowledge from you about everest. I know you climbed it when you were 23 and I read your book. I am writing a book myself. I plan to climb Everest next spring (march 7, 2009) If I do I will be the youngest american to summit. I have been training like a crazy person and pert of the training involves me spending a few nights at the summit of Mt Kilimanjaro. I have a house in Kenya near Mt. Kenya. I climbed Mt kenya last year. It was in the background of the episode you did in kenya. It was the landmark you were heading to. I live on the other side of the mountain from where you shot it. I also live in New Jersey where I am writing from. I know that you don't reply to most of these messages, but I would really like to get some info about your trip up Everest. Even though I am going up the north side which is very different, any advice would be greatly appretiated. Thanks (Mburuafrica@aol.com)
I love your show. Unfortunatley (spelling?) I don't get to watch it much anymore, I wish I could. It is a great show and I am looking forward to the next time I get to watch it. Good luck.
I enjoyed your survival games, especially the French Alps and Alaska ones. I have to admit that there are two correct answers for the Alaskan game's first question - other skiers and avalanches.
Hi Bear. I'd like to say you're doing a great job with the show, and I love it. You have really inspired me. Your energi, your passion,! We can really see that even though it's suppose to be a matter of life or death situation, you just love what your doing, and you do it with such a respect for the nature. I really hope there will be many more seasons to come, even though we will eventually run out of places on this earth for you to go to. Still got a few more planets though. Hehe. Keep up the good work, and be safe. Cheers, Norway
HEY BEAR!!! I love your show, i always watch it. I think it is the best show on television. You present the show great and give very usefull tactics and tips! In holland your show is called Ultimate Survival on Discovery Channel. Me and my mates love it, keep on making such great tv! I am going to buy the book 'Born Survivor and the book thats coming out in 2008!!
yo ernie50 LMAO, UNCLE SAM, laylo or whoever the hell you are...get a clue. Theres plenty of accurate advise on mvw. It wasn't intended as a campers how to guide. Think out'a your little box for a change LOLOLOL
again ZZ you hit the point that most of those speaking for Bear have been trying to express. this is not advise for the average camper. how often would anyone find themselves ina situation like those MvW places.
His survival techniques are good, for all you haters out there. I mean if you think its bad, go away and dont come back.
I love the show. I specialize in survival stuff for my troop. The advice is good, and for whoever said you could get someone killed becauase of it, guess what? You can die anyway because you would probably sit around and wait for help to come.
I truly and deeply love your show.I watch it religously. I can not say enough to express how much you and your show have inspired me to return to the wild. I've some what lost the love to go to the outdoors because of some personal challenges to over come,so I stood away. But when I learned how the discovery channel sarted showing survival based shows it intriged me. But it was only when I saw your show did it reanimate the love no the obsession I have with the outdoors.I was even willing to leave civilization to live a more primitive life, but I don't think my 5 year old will not be happy to give up watching high school musical just yet. But in all seriousness, thank u,thank u,thank u,for your willingness, dedication, sacrifice(from your family I'm sure),comittment, and the GUTS you have not only to teach, entertain and inform those who love the outdoors. Thanks for the inspiration,Bear you really are cool dude. P.S. And I thought Clint Eastwood had a great name.
I saw Man vs. Wild for the first time about a month ago and I am hooked! My son and I try to tune in every Friday to see what adventures you'll be getting into next. Keep up the good work.
Hey Mr.Bear Gryllz. i'm 1 of your best fans for your show. I just wanted to know if you can show me the video of you when u where in the Everglades. Because i am doing that for research so can you help me out. Thanks your Awesome. Czarilius
hey mr. bear i'm a big fan of yours and your show... thank you for all those tips and stuff i really learned a lot. so glad that there's a new season. the great thing about your show is that even though i don't get to watch it regularly it still makes me feel confident that i can survive outdoors even if i have not seen all your episodes. keep it up! and i support you all the way!
I am glad that you are back Bear, I was tired of seeing only Survivorman reruns on T.V. Besides, how many times can a person stand to see Les crush his hand trying to build a trap that you could probably set up in ten seconds?
And I don't care what anybody says, you can't fake eating a fatty grub or smashing a lizard's head against a log. You're awesome!
Hi Bear, i just want to say that you are my biggest fan. I have a question to: Have you been in sweden some time? If you have where where you? And thank you for te show, watch it every time!! Be careful// Sweden_girl
Looks like my post is 2 years too late, huh? Anyhow, just wanted to say keep up the great work on the show, my entire family enjoys it! Not only my family, but everyone I know. We all learn so much from your experiences in the wild, and now we're all better prepared if something should happen. Thanks for excellent advice!
Bear-you are such a beast! your show is so intense! your tips are very useful and are good to know in the back of your head. every episode is better than the last one! keep up the awesome work!

My opinion has nothing to do with hateing anyone. I am posting to express my worry and concern for those thousands of you out there who really believe that Bear is teaching "good survival techniques". I fully agree with others here in this forum that have said his advice and techniques are going to get someone killed. Let me attempt to explain only one of the hundreds of dangerous techniques that your "survival hero" has so dangerously taught you.
Hypothermia is the number one killer of people stranded in the outdoors. Bear, in one episode got himself wet , he then built a fire and let it burn for only a few minutes then put it out. claiming that the warmth of the moist ground would keep him warm all night. Everyone, who has even had the first lesson in treating hypothermia knows that getting dry so that you stop "wicking" warmth away from your body and then adding continued heat back to your body is the only way to prevent or reverse low body temperature. Bear laid down (with his wet clothes still on). on the slightly warm wet ground and expected to keep warm... I can guarantee you that in a real survival situation he would very likely have died. In another episode, he erroniously taught, that to get yourself warm, if you feel hypothermia setting in, "do exercises". This "will" make you "feel" warm for a few minutes, but the dangerous problem is this, hypothermia is the result of your inner body core temperature droping to below safe normal operating levels, your body needs every ounce of energy you have to overcome this cooling effect, doing excersises will do two very bad things, it will unnecesarily expend energy that your body needs so badly at this critical point, and, it will rush the much needed warm blood to the muscles on the outer surface of your body, were it will futher expel your body warmth to the air or to your wet clothing futher cooling you down, remember at this point your body desperately needs to stop loosing heat and is having a hard time making enough of its own. Therefore, exercising is a very bad "survival technique"
Again.. i am worried that so very many people out there are believing the advice given on MVW to be "good" sound techniques, they are not, and are dangerous. This is only one case ,, i can name at least 3 or 4 or more on every episode.
