I was lucky enough to finally get to see some of "Escape to the Legion" and I am really impressed with how Bear treated the other men that were there with him. He really wanted them to do well and he supported them all the way. When a couple of the men had to leave because of injury, Bear felt bad and sorry that they had to go. Also, Bear had to do everything along with the other men. I am truly amazed at his strength and endurance. I'm also impressed with his kindness and his humanity. He's also a very positive person and I think that some people are suspicious of that. Our negative society looks down on people who are happy and positive. We think they're up to something. I believe, however, that we could learn from Bear and people like him that try to make life full and enjoyable.
Just an observation.

Kinda like the difference between fans of the show and the people that criticize.
Fans take the show for what it is, know it isn't perfect but what is? and enjoy it none the less. Then theres others who complain about everything, and only make themselves and everyone around them miserable.

This guy bear is such a phoney. Nothing you see is real including any hardship he pretends to suffer. I doubt the man has ever spent a night alone in the wild.
